My team, jkberna and Djodar, my various esteemed collaborators such as Siber and Avatar II of the HW@ mod, and myself are proud to bring you the Galactic Council Mod, a bold project intended to show you just what really was behind those hyperspace gates at the end of the original Homeworld. So far there are three totally new races on the drawing board-- two totally original new races-- the Czalkir and the DR1, and another based off of actual Relic concept art that has come to be called the Lizaanj.
The Lizaanj BASTION is the most powerfull ship on the Lizaanj fleet, based on the Kfrig design and tech, but on a modified carrier xassi for extra power and endurance.
It is equiped with 3 ion beam cannons for dealing with larger enemies and multiple kinetic turrets for fighter and corvettes.
It can also be upgraded with 2 missile launcher subsystems.
Unlike the Kfrig, to serve on a Bastion is the dream of any lizaanj, only top crews are choosen and morale is extreamly high.
Progress seems to be slow...
u see these amazing concepts, textures, ships, and all u can say is that progress is slow??? be thankfull dude!!! they have a great story, awesome textures, GIF'S so we can see all angles, and u say that...
thanks, but he has a point, no releases so far, progress has been slow in the technical department(putting ships ingame) but modelling and texturing has been at a good speed.
I meant in the first few days of me tracking this mod there was lots of things in my updates and now it sort of quiet. it slow COMPARED to how it was going before. I dont care when its released i wanna see more awesome ships!
it looks like a mix of the Kfrig and carrier. nice job :)
I don't care for how much the turret supports stick out (myself). Perhaps you could alleviate the sharpness of their shape by having the surface plane that the turrets sit on be more angled so that they don't hit the body of the ship at a right angle?
ok, i'll try and see how it looks.
I'm honestly mixed on oppinions on this thing. It's weapons setup seems a tad... inefficient... to me but I like the overall design. Looking forward to seeing it textured and whatnot ;)
Edit: It lacks some of the originality on the other models methinks. More like blending existing designs than a fully new one. Not that that's bad, just an observation.
