Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.
Lady Liberty gets a makeover.
Model and Texture by Sizer
Dem Curves
<- The MC90 pictures got removed somehow, it looked awesome btw,are all capital ships being reconstructed?
Since much of the model work as been completed, Sizer has taken the opportunity to redo the models with the most glaring issues.
The MC Cruisers were definitely in this category :D
In that case, even though I'm pretty sure I mentioned this once on the forums, the Dreadnaught has a hole its mesh towards the back that allows fighters to fly inside its model and when this happens you inevitably have to suicide to stop flipping.
Dunno what you guys are doing with this model Sushi, but this one and the first one just scream 'I'M NOT AN MC CRUISER'!
I mean, I know what they look like, I just searched some pics of the Liberty and they just don't look the same. The front is too flat, and the wings aren't as wide as with the original one from the movies and other games :s
Even if you look at this pic: Images.wikia.com
I've seen much of Sizer's work when I worked with you guys back then, and he's really good. But I hope you don't consider the 'artist's impressions' as being the real thing. This is just not an MC80 Liberty :s
Ps: this is your Mc Moddb.com
The one pictured here just isn't!
The issue with the previous cruiser was that it had a lot of model and texture problems. This one fixes that and bring them models up to snuff with the rest of the mod.
I honestly like the new cruisers better, they aren't ugly anymore. Plus Sizer probably put more hours in this cruiser then I have on anything in my life. Thanks for all your dedication FW:TOW Team!
Great work. But to be honest, I like the old MC80 much more. This one doesnt look like an MC Cruiser, like Cropto7 said. This looks more like a newly constructed NR Cruiser but not like the old MC80 to me. Its to "shiny" in my opinion.
Still thanks for your hard work.
Same for me, i prefer the old model of the MC-80 for the same reason.
