About Flanders Fields In 1914, the world was tossed into turmoil when Archduke Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated by a Serbian radical, bringing Europe, and the world, into a 4 year, 8.5 Million Lives Lost struggle, which we call The First World War. In every war, there are a few battles which stand above the rest, for whatever reason. In Flanders Fields looks at battles throughout the war on the Western Front. From the mining town of Loos in 1915, to the bloodbath of Passchendaele, In Flanders Fields aims to capture the reality of war in the trenches, while giving a good, solid and atmospheric gaming experience to hardcore wargamers and casual players alike. Today, we have a lot of news to bring you as plenty of important events occurred behind the DEV lines. To start, we would like to give a final farewell to the founder of In Flanders Fields, Mr. John "Chief" Phillips. As if turns out, Chief resigned from the modification just under week ago as he could not continue his role with the project due to time restraints and personal reasons. John was overall a great leader, and will be missed dearly. In replace of John Phillips...I, The St. Jester, have taken up the title as development leader to ensure the final stages of development for the In Flanders Fields Half-Life 2 total conversion. It brings me great honor to help lead the current development team into our next alpha version.
