System requirements: Low preset @ 720P: GTX 285 : Low preset @ 900P: GTX 750 Ti : High preset @ 1080P: GTX 1660 Ti : Medium preset @ 4k: RTX 3080 12GB : I have upgraded another modders work yet again, but this time it was reasonably close to the limit of what the engine can do enough that I will instead of uploading a total rework, I will offer a patch with the same philosophy as usual of maximizing fidelity. He also using programming made modding the games textures possible so thats of value. All character models, guns, and some cherry picked textures out in the world are now DXT5 after using AI to reconstruct detail lost in his otherwise total DXT1 pass for every texture in the game which will allow the textures to retain more detail. DXT5 is a more modern superior compression technique compared to DXT1. Guns, main character model, and some faces + 2x rez.

Description

The original modders texture quality really impressed me and ultimately made this the first game I didnt have to by hand clean anything up. System requirements are reflective of the raytracing rendering power bottleneck. Obviously you wouldnt want to run the game with texture mods but only 720P. I develop content for future mobile devices that retro super GPU legends in some ways emulate other than their lack of memory compared to basically all modern electronics.

In passing I read an article written by Nvidia about a specific version of DXT5 which has nothing to do with what is supported here, so I had little idea what I was doing at the time. This mod is not efficient. I may update it in the future with the correct compression technology.
