Report RSS Exodus: The Future Of The Mod

Discussing why we haven't been making any new content lately. Sit down son, and read up.

So, listen. We don't have any new content for you guys. The reason being is that we have been trying to figure out where the hell this mod will go soon. No, were not dead, but we are thinking about changing the engine of Exodus. The Source Engine has become too outdated, so we think that, to make Exodus a standalone game, move it to another engine, such as the Unreal 3 Engine. So, Exodus' development has halted for god-knows how long, until we can make a decision on the future.

Source Engine Sucks.
I won't recommend you using it anymore, as valve is making it even worse with those new ****** updates, go there and make it an indie game, UDK is way better than SDK, you will see why i'm saying this.

Hey source is actualy the best engine out there in total feautures.it is easy to mod and use. The physics are the best out there and you cant argue that the graphics are amazing, also valve has never made a bad game and they use source so i rest my case.

there's nothing wrong with source, source has always been a great engine, the only reason we're all worried about it now is because VALVe is making updates and, as expected, it's causing a few bugs. While the overall engine has been improved with this update, I am sure that these problems will be worked out in the near future, just like the hammer bugs...

CryEng 3>CryEng 2>Source>UT

Its a reason. I played UT3 the other day, its crap. the engine? not so good either.

Choose carefully, I've been on two mod teams that wanted be standalone games, but just ended up dying when they tried to switch.

Before switching, you should take a look at the Dear Esther mod. (The new upgraded version in development now). It shows the true power of the Source engine.

I did check it out, but the SE is much less productive than other game engines, mostly with coding.
