Hello! And welcome to The Escaper's Corner! Here, I will post daily about the progress of this mod, along with exclusive screenshots of each level finished!

If you want to see what Duke Nukem Forever is like, but you never tried it yet, you should, as it can give you an idea on how this mod will work. I HEAVILY recommend this Repo here:

In this section of the page, I will update this daily with what has finished and what needs improving!

  • Map05 is a bit longer, but it does need some more decoration.
  • I obviously need to do Maps 6-8, along with a "The End" level.
  • Need to add a lot of misc. decor (chairs, paintings, ETC.), along with stuff that expand the lore of Escaper.

This should be it for the list! In every update, I will add a new bullet or replace a bullet when it is already done for and finished. When the game come out on the 20th of June, there should be no more bullets.

Hello everyone interested in this project. This may surprise some of you, but I have joined the Duke Nukem Forever Restoration Project. What does this mean? Long paragraph short, Escaper has been indefinitely delayed. I am gonna wait on finishing this game until I am finished with helping the DNF Restoration team. Why? Because I find the DNF restore to be more important than this project. I mean, come the fuck on it is Duke Nukem Forever 2001! The BEST game (hopefully) ever made! Of COURSE I am gonna focus more on DNF Restore than this! Don't worry. I will finish this once I gained experience working with DNFR. Right now, Escaper will now have a release date of TBD. I am sorry. I am also tired. Sorry if this article is incomprehensible.

Hello guys! So, I have some good news and bad news...

The bad news... I am gonna have a break from this. I know, well, specifically me, but when I do have a break, it usually means I forget and simply abandon this...

The good news? This will NOT be happening! I WILL have a break, mostly for the weekend, but I will return on Monday. However, during this little break, I will be working on some of the custom textures for the game, I.E, paintings, computer screens, ETC.

So, as a way to keep you guys interested, I released the V2 Demo of the game. I thought V1 would have been the final one, but I guess not. Also, as a little bonus, I have included the previously private Planner and Ideas TXT file, which includes the main events going on in each level, like the next map and even Map04 and 05. The reason I am doing this is for archival purposes, so if anyone is willing to archive a mod that mostly 15 or 25 people are gonna play, than there you go. This demo also includes the Jet cutscene, however, I don't think the Jets will appear in the maze level sadly, since 1, I have no idea how to add explosions, and 2, it would have been hell anyways. There WILL be bullshit traps, though, so I hope most of you are excited for that. This demo also has that new Map01 and more improved 02, 03, though not finalized. This demo also has the new Map04 and 05, which may lag depending on the power of your machine's CPU, I think, but I am pretty sure. Either that or it just lags universally.

I have just finished Map05! Yeah! Pretty fast! Why? Well, 1. I am not an experienced user of Unreal, but I am an pretty good and DOOM Mapping, and 2. It turns out you can't Save or Load, so I am trying to make it so you can beat it in a good 30 minutes to an hour. Also, I really don't have the time to do a lot of maps.

This map takes you outside on the ceiling garden (A garden that is grown on the ceiling).

What does this map need to have in order to be improved?

  • A slight blue tint to the lights, to give it a more classy workroom look
  • Some tables and chairs in the offices
  • Replace the textures of the TV so that it is more story relevant (Did I mention this map was gonna tell a story?).
  • Extend one of the office spaces in order to make this map as long as Map04.

That is about it for this update. However, as a warning, this map-set will have FPS issues, at least I did on mine. That is simply due to the amount of enemies on each map... That may sound scary, but trust me, it doesn't take much to make this game piss it's pants like an old grandma in a retirement home. Don't worry, though, I tried this on the new Restoration Repo that can be found in the discord and it ran perfectly fine, though it did hit 40 FPS at times, but that could be my computer being an HP All-In-One.
