Welcome to The Earth Recon. To understand this story, you must understand the concept. This story acts as if the technology of which we stand never existed, instead during the years of which we had minimal technology, we progressed significantly with all forms of computers, robots, and science. October 30, 2010: The country of Germany declares independence from Europe. November 9, 2014: Europe falls to Germany's relentless powers of Matt Switz. November 12, 2015: E-Government is founded. November 19, 2015: Germany and Europe form into Germope. May 2025: Daemon Bernard computed what was to be named, "Nature's Defeat". His wor was sent to the UN-Government in hope to convince further progress in off-planet colonization. The UN-Government declined his work and denied his advice. On October 29, 2033, multiple home-land farmers began to complain, to what was now known as the "EGovernment”, of the quick increase in temperature and loss of crops. SG3 Robots were beginning...

I thought I'd post this to say that I'm the one who made these, in case anyone wanted to say something to me. Just wanted to do this since someone actually has the profile cold_Fusion.

cold-fusion, those models look great! while you could certainly do some optimizations on them to reduce the poly counts, they look awesome!

Actually, the AK-47 is only 1172 polys, and the Walther P99 is 938.

Yeah, ask Cold_Fusion all about our modeling. Give him props for the models.

He deserves it.

In regards to the emails I was flooded with about why Ak-47 would be in Doom 3...

Here is the real reason:

Who said Earth had to be high-tech? Who said they were going to high-tech weapon?

Just accept them. Cold_Fusion07 deserves mass credit and should not be critized for his work.

/me happy that is off his back

I agree. What did SDK have to with the models? Not much.

I'm sorry, but these models aren't formidable for any game, especially Doom3. I don;t understand how they are that high-poly either. They barely resemble the guns you are modelling after. I think you need some more experience before you decide to take on a project.

I agree with second guest. What I meant in my first post is that there is unnecessary smoothature in the AK-47, in some areas. Those polygons could go into more detail on the top of the gun (which is the part that you see in 1st person). Otherwise, its totally great.
