Dungeon Siege Legendary Mod for Dungeon Siege 2 has been updated to Beta 14!
WHAT IS FIXED?
There has been several minor and one major fixes in the Mod pertaining to the Kingdom of Ehb map and Yesterhaven. A major issue with misplaced button levers has also been addressed.
For owners of the Steam versions of Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 there are Registry Fixes included in the zip. If applied before installing the DS1 Legendary Mod, they will enable the installer to locate the installation folders of Dungeon Siege 1 and 2. This is important as the mod needs to copy and convert assets from Dungeon Siege 1 to enable the maps to run in Dungeon Siege 2.
ENHANCED TEXTURES AND BLOOM EFFECTS
While the graphics of Dungeon Siege have been improved by the porting over to the DS2 engine, they have had a makeover with the application of enhanced detail filtering to most of the textures and the addition of Bloom to the outside environments. The maps are now of similar standard to the Dungeon Siege 2 or Broken World campaigns.

It is important to note that the mod requires that the original games are installed prior to setup as original assets and maps have to be converted in order for them to be playable in
Dungeon Siege 2. About 1.07 GB of free HDD space will be required to install all 4 maps if you own Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna, 865 Mb if you have only the original Dungeon Siege.
Since the mod has had significant internal restructure since the last Beta, it is important to reinstall it and the mod will automatically remove all previous Beta 13 files during installation.
Owners of the Steam versions of Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 should apply the appropriate Steam Registry Fix included in the zip unless they have already patched it previously.
Other than that installation is an easy matter of just unzipping the installer and running it, confirming dialog choices and the EULA.
If you are upgrading from Beta 13, all saved games from that version will be completely playable in Beta 14. Just install the new files and continue playing from where you left off.
Support and development of the DS1 Legendary Mod will continue with plans to release a full version sometime in the future.
The immediate focus will be on fine tuning the texture enhancements and then any feature requests that fit into the Dungeon Siege gameplay. Restoring the NIS sequences to the original standards is also something on the drawing board.
