Really not a mod for me.
I am more of a casual player and it turned into a really frustrating experience for me, maybe I'm just not the target audience, I don't know, but there are a couple of things that upset me:

- Huge levels are cool, but man I couldn't find my bearings for the life of me in many levels and had to resort to walkthroughs online. The levels don't feel natural to traverse, when I flipped a lever or pressed a button it's barely apparent where you need to go next.
- "Touhou" is such a good description of it. Triggering an important button sometimes spawns like 10 flying enemies. Sometimes some with rocket launchers. Finding a keycard occasionally spawns like 5 boss monsters throughout. I constantly died or ran out of ammo, and even with cheats I ran out of ammo. At some point used Cheats to switch from "Let's Rock" to "Piece of Cake" and it still wasn't much better for me.
- The music is... fine? I guess. Annoyed me sometimes but was fine.

Still really cool to play a new Duke 3D Mod again. Enjoyed many of the designs and locations just look wise, when there were no mobs. It's just that for someone like me who's kind of a mid player at best this is really way beyond challenging and most of the time a very frustrating experience.

Full of actions and push to the limit(both player and game engine) with very special visual plus the black magic of Build engine. lol

Really worth the hassle to play(minus the annoyances that get killed endlessly, especially on the final 3 levels). :P

The new level on episode 3 is nice too, whole DN3D episode 1 in one huge level, plays fine and really cool.

Definitely one of the biggest and the best Duke 3D mods out there. Not diverging from the original games that much (no new art or weapons), but greatly expanding upon it and bringing it to today's standards. The levels are huge and the whole thing can be treated as a game of its own, that will keep you entertained for about 20-40 hours, depending on how much of a completionist you are. Brilliant level design and creativity. Having the privilege of beta-testing this episode and seeing how it was conceived, I'm really glad how it all turned out in the end after over 4 years of development!

You will either hate or love this mod.

It has some of the coolest levels I've seen in a long time but it is also the most frustrating duke mod I ever played.

Someone in another review mentioned the game turns into Touhou and I kid you not, it's exactly what happens. Pretty much anything that lives has either rockets or grenades and you will get sniped from the other side of the level with often no chance of fighting back, sometimes even from places that are outside playable bounds.

I'm also not sure if this was tested on anything else but easy difficulty. Expect to have to do some serious ammo management and come up with cheese strategies to make it out alive.

All in all it's not made for everybody, but there is some really great stuff to do and see if you're willing to put up with the mod's shortcomings.

Huge levels, easily 20 hours of gameplay, challenging and most importantly, FUN!

This is really good. These are probably the most enormous maps I have ever seen in a Duke 3D, let alone in episodes. You probably need to add some new weapons or even different ammo for long-ranged purposes. I love watching lots of folks coming from above and then the game turns into Touhou to avoid getting shot.
