I honestly wasn't expecting to make a post like this so soon, but here goes...
The original Grabbag theme composed by James Grote (Gigadeth) for Duke Nukem Forever in 1998 has been found, and is now available in high quality!
A few weeks ago, Dr. Proton (one of our volunteers in the project) decided to take a gamble and try to dig in for information related to the 1998 theme, before getting in contact with the man behind the track, James (Jim) Grote.
After a short conversation, he was able to secure a high quality .wav of the theme from Jim, and it is now available for everyone's listening pleasure!
You can listen to it here on YouTube:
With this done, I figured I'd also treat you guys to a few progress shots of the pool room in Penthouse B:
Hope you like these; expect to see more soon! ;)
Awesome!
keep it up man...👌💪😎
Cool news! Would it be possible to share the WAV file? Thanks!
Yeah i hope we can get the original file aswell.
EDIT: Oh nvm it's here:

Ahah was about to post an answer to you with the link as well!!
Good day!
Pure awesomeness.
Would it be possible for the game to have anti aliasing?
Awesome! Thank you very much for this. I really love the fact that there are people more inclined to protect and save such pieces of past media for posterity than even the developers of those things themselves.
Oh yeah!
The 1998 trailer music is genuinely one of the best Grabbag renditions out there.
You got that right.
Can this theme be selected as part of the menu customization?
I guess due to copyright problems, this isn't possible. If ex 3D Realms has the (c), then maybe.
Finally! That's great!
Now we need the 2001's theme in lossless format too!
More content saved from being lost into oblivion. Nice work.
