General Azure found a new way to mod stardrive that is simply amazing. It gives us tremendous mod power. The excitement for this method has got 2 new code modders. Giving us a total of 4 current code modders.

With the devs blessing we have found some deep hooks into the game code that not only gives us more access to code but also makes the whole process much much easier and has the devs blessing.

Deveks mods uses a method injection hack that is A) unsupported and B) cumbersome to use.

The new method removes that and gives us access to modify the code natively. its incredibly powerful.
Stuff that was hopeless to get to is now easy.

There are 3 content modders adding code to the game now. Im not a content modder yet. models and all that are a whole other ball of wax.

Anyway these guys have are increasing the mod power of the game. Note this is a Work in progress. These are lofty goals and some work and some don't or are not finished.
Racial Tech trees.
hull specific technology
more control over warp drive effects.
Rotatable modules.
I included a tweak from deveks mod that will limit the AI ship build based on available ram.

UI improvements. We can pretty much do whatever we can think of and figure out.

Regardless if you love or hate stardrive we can all agree its needs more stuff and that is exactly what we are doing.
