I'm glad to announce the release of Delta Force: Team Sabre Operations. Team Sabre Operations is an enhancement mod for Delta Force Black Hawk Down and its Team Sabre expansion. It's meant to fix and improve the stock game's sounds, art style and gameplay. It also provides additional content for map makers in order to expand the original experience.
Team Sabre Operations was previously known as Blaze's DFBHD/TS Mod, released by yours truly in 2015 (Blaze was my nickname back then) and available exclusively at the Nova-Outpost.com website before its official closure.
Twenty years after the release of Delta Force Black Hawk Down (and thirty years after the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu), Team Sabre Operations aims to fine-tune and further polish the original game and its expansion pack.

The mod requires a proper installation of Delta Force Black Hawk Down + Team Sabre. It should be compatible with GOG's digital version, NovaLogic's digital version and with the Retail CD-ROM version, as long as it is patched to the latest v1.5.0.5 and it includes the Team Sabre expansion.

Features of Delta Force Team Sabre Operations (October 4th Release):

  • Custom installer for easier mod installation (a proper installation of DFBHD/TS is required); mod files do not override any of the stock game files, they are separate to ensure that the original DFBHD/TS game and its multiplayer are intact.
  • Better looking skins for vehicles, weapons, plants, terrains, buildings (using nicer textures from DFBHD's beta version), soldiers (Rangers in the second Team Sabre mission in Colombia finally get woodland camo instead of the stock 3-color desert; SAS teammates in woodland camo for map makers, etc.).
  • Fixed most of the annoying bugs and glitches in single-player missions (any misplaced objects in Team Sabre campaign missions are removed, missing sounds and/or wrong voiceovers are corrected, fixed broken or missing triggers in some missions).
  • Included brand new, exclusive version of Baldo_the_Don's Weapon Sights mod, with tweaked weapon stats and reworked damage values for many items.
  • Included NovaHQ Heartbeat DLL (Alternate Lobby Reporting DLL) to offer basic multiplayer support.
  • Included AlpyneDreams's D8VK wrapper to allow the game to use Vulkan-based rendering (a Vulkan compatible GPU is required).
  • Included SuiMachine's wrapper to override FOV and 1280x1024 resolution with custom values.
  • Added different and better animations from later NovaLogic's games in place of stock ones, thus improving some reloading animations of weapons.
  • Added a large array of different sounds to give each weapon more unique sounds (for instance, each light machine gun uses its own reloading sound, like in NovaLogic's Joint Ops).
  • Added MK 23 pistol from the NSO Mod with custom tweaks (Team Sabre for the PS2 featured this weapon).
  • Added an M14 by re-using the M21 3d model, with both weapons using unique skins, sounds and animations.
  • Added a playable version of the Weapons Range South mission, included but inactive in stock DFBHD.
  • Added fixed and/or new buildings for missing items (the original Team Sabre expansion lists many map items, some totally missing). What the Mission Editor shows is now available, any missing .3di models have been removed and/or replaced.
  • Added few vehicles ported from Comanche 4 and Joint Ops for use by map makers (Land Rover, Cargo Truck as replacement for the horrible Team Sabre's Chemical Truck, Chinook helicopter).
  • Much reworked HUD and UI elements, menu screens now using reworked textures based on the ones from the beta version of DFBHD.
  • Restored DFBHD main menu music in place of the one from the Team Sabre expansion.
  • Restored buttons in the Credits screen for viewing DFBHD's Irene and Ending videos.
  • Tons of localization fixes, fixed any grammar errors and misspelled words, reworked missions' briefing data and preview images for more quality and consistency, given brand new custom names to the Team Sabre campaigns and their missions.
  • Additional terrains for map makers, all of the terrains from DF2/DFLW/DFTFD/DFX/DFX2/JO/JOE have been ported and reworked for the DFBHD game engine.

Nice to see those woodland rangers in Colombia, that always bugged me lol.

Also glad you used Baldo's mod as a basis, really liked his work to improve the realism of the weapon stats. Also really like that you redid the sights of Baldo's mod to have the blur again of the default game, more games need to have blurred sights like that.

Hi there! Thank you for the comment!
The new weapon sights were remade from scratch by Baldo himself. He added blur to these new ones. They were never released until now, so the mod features his latest weapon sight textures. He's very talented and I'm glad to have collaborated with him.

I have plans to revisit this old mod I just released, we'll see what the future brings.

Oh, that's a name I recognize! I played your remake of Rebel Mountain Stronghold! I had made my own version of the original mission for the mod, but my reworked Team Sabre missions will come at later time, they still need fixes and changes. The mod is already released, a new version was released this Christmas! It is not definitive, I want to improve upon it even more with time.

I don't think so, the mod heavily changes the stock game. LAN multiplayer should still be a viable option.
