DEATHWING is a total L4D2 conversion. You and your team of 3 must investigate the derilect with limited armaments and eradicate any obstacles you may find along the way.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
THIS BUILD OF DEATHWING IS A WORKAROUND TO FIX PRECACHE ISSUES. IT WILL PLAY, BUT NOW THERE ARE COMMON HUMAN INFECTED AS WELL AS ALIEN. TOTALLY LAME, I KNOW. PRETEND THEY ARE PIRATES.
To install:
unzip the .rar file from the download and place in your addons folder in your l4d2 directory, which should look similar to this
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons
Running the single player game :
-At the L4D2 menu, go into console using the "`" key (tilde). If this is not enabled, go into your options and enable developer console.
-Type in the console "exec deathwing_coop" for cooperative or "exec deathwing_real" for Realism mode.
-Your game should begin.
Running a multiplayer game (Host):
-Ensure that your router is configured for Source games by following these instructions:Support.steampowered.com
-Go to whatsmyip.com or related website to record your computers personal IP number.
-At the L4D2 menu, go into console using the "`" key (tilde).
-Type in the console "exec deathwing_coop" "exec deathwing_real" or "exec deathwing_versus"
-Your game should begin as a host.
Running a multiplayer game (Client):
-At the L4D2 menu, go into console using the "`" key (tilde).
-Get IP from Host
-Type in the console "connect (ip of host goes here)"

Major Bugs Known:
-Common human infected in the map now, cant explain it.
-Bots tend to murder themselves at the end of level 2. I gave up trying to find ways to protect them.
-Flamethrower only "mock" flame and only when button is released. Use like a molotov.
-Single Player mode through l4d2 menu doesnt load settings and other infected are present
-Some menu graphics missing

isn't working for me. extracted it to the addons folder like it says above(only it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons and not C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons) but when i try to start a game through the console it doesn't work. just says couldn't exec exec deathwing_coop
you only type in exec once, should be "exec deathwing_coop"
did only type it once, that's just how it shows in the console. even with addons disabled it still won't work.
gonna re-install L4D2 and redownload it,hope it works.
I cannot host multiplayer games, When they try (Using the console to connect) it takes ages then stops and says 'Failed to connect after 'x' Retries, does this mod not work anymore?
Worked for me... do you have any other mods running at the same time? That is usually the source of errors in my game.
Failing that try re downloading it

DEATHWING is broken at the moment because of the new L4D2 file structure. Ill try to get it fixed as soon as I can.

Mod not working at least on my Win 8. Am getting an error on something not being precached...
Is there something wrong with the character models? Because I'm still getting coach, ellis and the other normal characters.

Anyone else having trouble getting the 'third level' started? I managed to get to the second safe room but each time when it starts the third part it freezes. This is pineappletaco btw.
There is no third level yet, sorry! Thats the end of the campaign.

actually, maybe dont think of the common as pirates, but newly infected crew that havent transformed yet or something similar (im not fully in-tune with warhammer lore)
