D.E.A.D will be pushing the Source engine to its limits! Being a mulitplayer modification where players can play as a human or a zombie we have many areas to worry about, gameplay, function and design. There will be 3 key game modes along with some extra modes to be included in later updates. The 3 key game modes are: - Redemtion (control areas and fight back the undead) - Demolition (destroy enemy strongholds and key objectives) - Rescue (save the trapped humans from becoming a zombie potpie) Other game modes may include: - Deathmatch - Survival - Zombie Roundup Game features will include: - The Evolution System , based around a players skill level he will be givin extra abilities, such as marksmenship, medical aid, speed, strength, vision, stamina, armour, and others..

Another month, another media release from D.E.A.D

This media release is mainly to showcase some of our custom content that is being included into our level designs, along with showing off a new mapper that has joined our team "Oski" who is working on an asylum map of his own design. We also have a couple really cool models from RubberChicken, a prop bus and a new weapon, the hunting bow, which will be a great addition to the game. Along with those we have some new shots of one of our new player hands, modeled by Joohoo, skinned by CraigF and rigged/animated by Evolution.

I don't say this often about unrendered meshes but; nice bow! If it's skinned and animated properly, then that should be a treat. Will the arrows shot also fly in an arch if the distance is large enough? That should be fun! :)

Yes the bow will shoot just like any real bow, the longer the distance the more the arch etc. We think the bow will be a player favorite, but keep in mind zombies only die when you get em in the head... so using this weapon will be tricky.

then i hope your hitboxes will be more accurate than in CSS cause the headshots are just unbelievable
