Let me start by saying that we wanted to release a demo version of Dead Sky at the beginning so that others could play the mod a little earlier and see how we plan to show our vision of zone. However, we decided that this didn't make sense.

Dead Sky is currently being tested and we only need testers for that therefore, we will release the Beta version publicly.

The mod is theoretically ready for release but there are still a lot of things we need to improve and finish. We are already on a straight path...or so it seems to me at least.

Moving on to what I would like to write today:

1. Dead Sky on Low-End PC's

The modification in itself works very well, but unfortunately some major lags will occasionally occur.

We are of course continuing to work on performance!

We have also thought about people who have a low-end PC, which is why the mod will also include addons for smoother gameplay etc. Changes will mainly include weather, textures and models.

2. Weapons

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: AK12 HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE MOD!

We have removed a number of weapons from Dead Sky in favour of a lighter mod, and also to avoid cramming in unnecessary weapons that no one will use anyway.
We have replaced some weapons with others that most people will use. We've also got rid of the C-MORE collimator and want to replace it with a few more sights.

I would also like to thank Qatapro for sending us VPO215 for Dead Sky :) !

3. Vegetation

We know that not everyone may be comfortable with the dark atmosphere of Zona that we have presented in the modification. Therefore, the player will have the choice of keeping the original vegetation textures or using an add-on that will make the textures more vivid and bright.
At the moment we are using Absolute Nature 4 which we are trying to fully adapt. So it will be easier for us to work on other vegetation variants.

4. Damage based on caliber and Ergonomics

Generally, the idea is that any weapon that uses the same ammunition will deal the same damage. Originally in stalker each weapon has a value of what damage it deals.
This will certainly make the choice in weapons easier, as you will now not have to look at whether a weapon that has the same calibre as other weapons deals more or less damage.

We have also added Ergonomics.
Every weapon has some value and putting additions on it will result in slightly worse recoil control and also increased aiming time.

5. New descriptions (ENG)

A very big thank you to Sleazy71 for the new descriptions of weapons, suits, items, artefacts and ammunition!

It will now be possible to enjoy new descriptions that are not a simple copy-paste from various sites. They are now much shorter ;)
