Darkwind RPG - A Hero's Tale is a usermade mod for the well known game Warcraft III the Frozen Throne. This mod will take the player away from the standard strategic real time game and throw him into a 3rd person, isometric filmed roleplay game. Many unique features, custom models, advanced scripting and a interesting story will make Darkwind RPG to an experience you should not miss. The first versions will be released as singleplayer. Multiplayer version(s) will follow, but differ in some features because of the limitations set by the Warcraft III engine itself.

I loved this mod from the start, as I was getting tired of World of Warcraft -- please don't take this as spam, but I have now been enjoying WoW over the course of a few months, thanks to a private server, and yes, this one isn't a terribad one. It's the best vanilla server there is, completely blizzlike and such excellent development that it's just insane. Feel free to have a look at therebirth.net
