A hobby project I started back in August 15, 2022. My aim is to remake the models of Quake 3's weapon roster into something that looks good for modern resolution, while still being 100% compatible with Quake 3's original engine limitations.

Installation:
Extract files "zzczhdwr1.pk3", "zzczhdwr2.pk3", and "zzczhdwr3.pk3", and move them inside the "baseq3" folder.

Notes:
"zzczhdwr2.pk3" is an optional pak file that modifies weapon positions in first person view, (for better model visibility on wider resolution and higher FOV) and has "punchier" weapon firing animations.
If you want to retain vanilla quake 3 weapon position and animations, simply do not include this in the "baseq3" folder.
"zzczhdwr3.pk3" is another optional pak file that changes most of the weapons' firing sound.
If you want to retain vanilla quake 3 weapon sounds, simply do not include this in the "baseq3" folder.
The gauntlet hand anims are kept in the main pak file. As the new model and the original hand anim are not working properly.

I won't make promises. As of now, I'm working on some other mod and model stuff. And, as with what happened with QuakeII(and QuakeI few years before), I'm honestly just waiting if the same treatment is going to happen in QuakeIII next year.

For some reason both builds don't show lightning gun model in hand, while world model is shown properly.
Any suggestions how to debug this?
There should not be other pk3 files that could overwrite models.
Just tested this on the most recent build of Quake3e. Yeah, for some reason, those render weapon models in player view even lower than in vanilla. It's why when firing the lightning gun, it "disappears" from view.
Make sure "zzczhdwr2.pk3" is also extracted into baseq3, as those contains the modified weapon "hand"(position and animation).
Beyond that, if the issue persists(like, the weapon doesn't render at all), only things I could think of are pack file conflicts(because, "zzczhdwr2.pk3" SHOULD modify the weapons' original/vanilla positioning), conflict in used config(especially those commands that pertains to modifying weapon position in view like cg_gunx;y;z, cg_fovAspectAdjust, etc.).
Okay, will stick with 2nd pack and altered position. Thought maybe its easy to fix if user uses only models pk3 file.
