The Deal is a total conversion singleplayer mission mod for Call of Duty 4 which is heavily inspired from the 007 James Bond movies along with other video games and movies. The mission revolves around a secret meeting that takes place in middle of London on which the MI6 is spying upon.
Rooftops Agents is a spin-off daytime version of the redesigned Rooftops level, allowing you to play as a suited up Task Force 99 against enemy agents, while giving you full access to all weapons from The Deal.
THIS IS NOT A STANDALONE MOD!
YOU NEED TO HAVE "THE DEAL 1.0" INSTALLED IN CALL OF DUTY 4 FIRST!
AND THEN INSTALL THIS DLC MAP!
"Rooftop Agents" is a DLC mission for "The Deal".
It's a spin-off level based on the "Rooftops" level of the first Rooftops Campaign mod. The map is entirely redesigned and repurposed as a long, action only, no cutscene, no dialogue level with pure gunfight action from start to end.
This map was originally created on March 2022 as a World At War co-op level with modern warfare assets, then it was later ported back in Call of Duty 4 as a "Rooftops 2 Campaign" DLC, and now it has been changed to "Rooftop Agents" and released as a DLC mission for "The Deal" mod.
The "Rooftops 2 Campaign" version of "Rooftops Revisited" introduced an Arcade Mode unrelated to the original Call of Duty 4 arcade mode. This new and simplistic arcade mode would give you points for kills, extra points for headshots, and melee. And at the end of the level you would get bonus points for completing the level in higher difficulties.
"Rooftop Agents" while being a DLC mission for "The Deal", it uses all of the benefits of "The Deal" mod. That includes, remastered assets of NPCs, Player models and weapons, as well as the new and extremely challenging Realism Mode Difficulty.
"Rooftop Agents" has three available modes.
Normal: Which is the normal way of playing the level, without arcade points and allowing you to chose any difficulty including Realism Mode Difficulty from The Deal.
Arcade: Which is exactly the same as normal, only you earn points for kills, and extra points for headshots, melee and higher difficulties.
Time Race: Which is a speedrun friendly mode, where you have to run from the start of the level to the end, without enemy opposition, and race against your own time highscore records.
Time Race Mode and the ability to play the level in Realism Difficulty Mode, are the two main new benefits that this DLC provides aside from the ones that the Rooftops 2 DLC version of this level provided.
Since "The Deal" missions have quite strict and limited action sequences "Rooftop Agents" DLC mission allows you to have fun with "The Deal" weapons and characters in a more free and open manner.
Just like "Rooftops Revisited" you have the ability to chose which character you can play as.
You can chose between SPi, Loz, Pan or Alex, as well as a "random" choice if you can't decide or if you want to make things more interesting. Nothing significant changes if you chose a different character. It's mainly a matter of appearance, and you can see your character portrait icon on the bottom left. Each character has different starting weapons, however, you are given the option to create your own custom loadout in the start of the level. The weapon arsenal you have at your disposal includes all weapons from "The Deal" missions.
Changelog (Rooftops Revisited / Rooftop Agents):
Changed night to day.
Changed russian enemies to agents.
Changed allies to agents.
Changed SAS viewhands to suit viewhands.
Changed Rooftops 2 weapons to The Deal weapons.
Implemented Realism mode which is being used from The Deal mod.
Added realism health pickups.
Arcade mode points bonus includes realism mode point bonus.
Realism mode from The Deal encourages slower paced gameplay
which can provide a different experience to the original one.
Make sure to read the Realism Tutorial which is unlocked after you finish The Deal.
However, you can play Rooftop Agents on Realism before you finish The Deal.
The Deal mod isn't affected in any way from this DLC level.
The only adjustments to the core mod are in the main menu, the pause menu and the level select menu.
Everything else stayed as is.
