This pack is all the CotD Materials, textures (x2), 2 Cotd maps (empty except for shop npcs), sounds, and megapack needed for anything Chronicles of the Damned. The only thing that I couldn't get working is the Garou (might be a vampire 1.0 issue). I'm not sure why but they can't seem to use the Garou gifts (human, ghoul, or vampire). But at least you can select a garou character with animalism, and RP it like you mean it.

In order for CotD to work, Age of Redemption (AOR) must not be installed. If AOR has been installed, uninstall Vampire Redemption, then reinstall Vampire Redemption and then the COTD packs.

Though not all is lost. Also added are the Nos maps for London, New York, Prague, and Vienna so you can play these sections in multiplayer, and interact with the NPC's just like the single player game. If you're talking to an NPC in game and you loose your game bar, just hit the "F11" key.

Run the "Cotd Install.exe", make sure it finds your Vampire directory.

All *.nob files copy to the root of your Vampire directory. The folders "Sounds", "Chronicles", and "Materials" also need to copy to the root of your Vampire directory.

In order to play CotD you must run the "cotd10run.bat" located in the "ChroniclesDamned" folder in your Vampire directory.

Credits for all the people who help to input things into this mod both inside and outside of the CotD Team.

A huge amount of credit to Caleb, Yith and Spock (and god knows who else from the starting days of modding this game, those are the 3 major ones off the top of my head that I can think of). They started the reshaping of the game and making it's continuity a must have for the game we all love and play (or sometimes hate to play, but just can't stay away, hehe).

To Caleb personally, thank you. All of the new human disciplines that are in this mod came directly from Caleb and/or Yith or both.
Caleb sent them to me when the mod was still under WTD, and gave his consent for the coding to remain in CotD. There is more of his stuff that I have, and will be using as the mod continues to grow, and I'm actually figuring out what some of the stuff was meant to do.

To VampireWriter, god, the hell I put ya through on the graphics =). Thank you. I'm sorry to see ya go from the mod, but your work, as all things you do, are excellent. Good luck on your book btw.

DarkSlob and Charlotte. You guys rock!! They are responsible for the Arms of the Abyss model that was never finished in WTD 3.5.
Charlotte did the Horrid Form, which is just totally ugly, and totally cool looking for the Tzimisce.

There are two disciplines rewritten from the DarkPath mod in this release, taken back when Khayman and I were still on speaking terms. Those are now called Repulse, and EarthShock.

WindRunner was rewritten originally by Caleb and Yith from the Wod Version. It wasn't quite correct in it's working, so I reworked it yet again, and is now correctly working without the other WoD stuff being needed. Thank you to them, and to JemyM for allowing us to use it in CotD.

Personal note to JemyM, thank you for the icons that we're using from WTD to this version, although I still have no clue which ones are WoD and which ones weren't =(

Pendarius did the new Mortis disciplines, so beat up on him =)

Calaval/Caligula did the clan taps that can be found in this mod. Excellent work, and much needed. Original artwork was done by
White Wolf, and applied to the taps. You'll recognize them as the infamous characters of their particular clans.

Deathy is responsible for very cool looking new Walk the Abyss model. For the vampires in us, you'll get a kind of scary view of this
new portal.

Sephiroth is responsible for the Shape of the Beast Wrath model. Beautiful work there from him. (Sorry DS, hehe, but I wasn't really
expecting him to finish it for me).

Raviek contributed the Assamite Antitribu model for the mod. He actually sent it to me just to look at, and I fell in love with it, since
the character comes from the Guide to the Sabbat book, page 52, and matches it almost perfectly.

If I've missed anyone in the credits, beat up on me on the CotD forum please, because it was certainly not my intention to miss
anyone.

The Mod - What's here, what's not

The goal of CotD, is to create a world of balance between the hack and slash that goes on and the world where people do Roleplay
the game. In order to do this, many things were changed, removed, and added. It was the intent to work on the Vampire end first, with the Mages, Garou and other indigents of White Wolf's world to be worked on in future mods.

First thing most will notice, is the Mythericia, Visceratika, Nihilistics among other of the WTD 3.5 discipline groups were removed.
These were removed to make room for cleaning up the Protean Discipline Group, as it contained Thanatosis, and Vicissitude, which
are not to be there. The mod now has Thanatosis and Vicissitude as a result, with their corresponding disciplines located under
them.

Quietus, the discipline group was added for the Assamites as well. It is a protected discipline group, which will be explained further
under the MET Rules section of this file.

New Disciplines that were added, are too numerous to list out here, but in most cases of the discipline groups, I tried to add levels
6 through 9 on each of them. Exceptions to this are the Thaumaturgical Paths, Quietus (which got added to start off with, we'll build on it as we go), Thanatosis, Vicissitude. 16 New Human disciplines were added to both Faith and Numina groupings. Garou, well, they got the short end of the stick on the mod. Sorry Lupines, you'll hate me further as you read, it's ok, I intend to make up for it on the next mod.

Biggest changes, that you will either love or hate, is the Type and Clan restrictions that were put in place. They will be explained as
to the why it was done under the MET Rules section as well, but it's definately worth noting to you here.

Caitiff's now have their particular bloodlines in place as well, and in casting, it is a definate must have. I do NOT recommend trying to
play as a straight Caitiff, you won't get far in the grand scheme of things.

Embrace and Create Ghoul are correctly working now as well. Only glitch I could find is if the victim of the discipline does not run the
mod, they will not see the change over clan wise on their char pane. Do note, that if you embrace someone, or ghoul them in the
Hack and Slash rooms, their respective clan attributes will drop if they have a tweaked char. Not all of their stats, only 3 per clan type.

Celerity, Potence and Fortitude have been COMPLETELY reworked based off the MET system. Celerity itself, along with Potence
and Fortitude are no longer existing in this mod. This means, if you are someone with your own weapon pack that uses the
ef_disc_celerity1, ef_disc_potence or ef_disc_fortitude, it will not use them anymore and will be ineffective. And nope, I'm not telling
what you can replace them with, I leave that to you guys to figure out. =)

Other changes include, Cadavers Touch is still existing, however, Prison of Ice and Flesh to Stone were removed, so no more perma-
freezing with those. Prison of Ice was removed simply because it's not a true discipline in the world of White Wolf, and Flesh to Stone
was removed since it fell under one of the many groups removed from the mod.

New particle effects were added, for both the java effects, and for the addthing in storb for decoration. We did overload on limits, so
you may notice certain effects not working, such as the pad effect for Awe (in other words, you won't see the nifty ring show up at the targets feet to let you know it took effect). The Addthings are listed at the end of this readme.

MET Rules - and how it affects you the player

In the world that White Wolf has created for us, there is a food chain. And with each group in that food chain, they all have their own particular strengths and weaknesses. Right now, in the mod, we have Vampires, Humans, Ghouls and Garou. Then under each of
those types, we have clans, or tribes (for the Garou). This means, that if you're a Garou player, you don't have access to Vampiric
powers, unless of course you are an Abomination. Ghouls, have access to limited Vampiric powers, and Human powers. Vampires
have zero ability on the Human powers, as their power comes from their blood. So, based on these facts, here is how the disciplines
were coded for the RP aspect of the mod.

Humans: As a human you have full access to all Faith and Numina Powers. Faith and Numina do have their own requirements and
experience pre-requisites that you must fulfill.

Garou: As a garou player, you have access to Faith, Numina and Garou Gifts only. Same pre-requisites apply as well for learning
any and all new disciplines.

Ghouls: Ghouls, according to white wolf, should start off with 1 level of Protean to start off with. From there, they have access to the 5th level disciplines. There is no limit on them learning out of blood, so long as they have a teacher to teach them the discipline
group.

Vampires: Here's the majority of clan restricting that went on. Vampires, have full access to their clan bloodline disciplines, up to
the highest level. Outside of their blood, they are restricted to 6th level. It's considered out of their blood, and no amount of sharing
vitae from their teacher will get them past that. So, for those of you who want to know what you can cast max level on, here is the
breakdown for you per clan. Unless otherwise noted, these guidelines apply to Antitribu and Caitiff bloodlines as well.

Assamites: Celerity, Obfuscate and Quietus
Brujah: Celerity, Potence and Presence
Cappadocians: Auspex, Fortitude and Mortis
Gangrel: Animalism, Fortitude and Protean
Giovanni: Dominate, Necromancy and Potence
Lasombra: Dominate, Obtenebration and Potence
Malkavian: Auspex, Dementation and Obfuscate
Nosferatu: Animalism, Obfuscate and Potence
Ravnos: Animalism, Chimerstry (not existent yet) and Fortitude
Setites: Obfuscate, Presence and Serpentis
Toreador: Auspex, Celerity and Presence
Tremere: Auspex, Dominate and Thaumaturgy
Tzimisce: Animalism, Auspex and Fortitude
Ventrue: Dominate, Fortitude and Presence
City Gangrel: Celerity, Obfuscate and Protean

That is the main listing, although included in the restrictions are Harbingers of Skulls, the Serpents of Light and a few others. Please consult your clan books to see what you can use.

Known Issues - and things that need fixing yet

Embrace discipline and Ghoul discipline do not include the Caitiff bloodlines at this time.

For some reason, I neglected to include the Antitribu Tremere on some disc's, and I completely neglected the poor Gangrel Antitrib's.
I will fix that, I play in MD, so I sorta forget those DA players out there.

Icons of course. We have a graphics team now, so those will be getting finished and will be a seperate download, so you don't have to redownload the entire mod for them alone.

Storb Commands - and what to do with them

There are several new storb commands to get rid of the certain nasty edits that people have come up with over the past year or so.

stcmd powerup # 0/1 - # is player from the player list, 0 = off, 1 = on stcmd pickup # 0/1 - # is player from player list, 0 = off, 1 = on
stcmd collide # 0/1 - # is player from player list, 0 = off, 1 = on

Addthings - for the decor of your havens

All of these are the addthing command, so I'm not going to write out addthing so on.
