according to a help page pertaining to steam not running the game with mod enabled it said you need the mod folder plus a module file. however in the latest version of the mod this module file is missing. as a result steam will not run the game with the mod enabled. can the module file that is meant to come with the mod become available for download as untill then I can' not cheat on this game (it updates on an almost daily basis so it is impossible to get an up to date trainer and if I do get one the game updates the next day rendering it useless).

Ok I found out the new mod needs to be run differently. I have done that. and can get the cheat menu Ctrl + Shift + F1. but none of the commands are doing anything! particularly Ctrl + Shift + G (god mode for selected Units) and Ctrl + PgDwn (Set selected units health to 100%) I am still getting slaughtered extremely quickly. what could I be doing wrong? and if the options work should it display the cheat being used like Dawn of War II's cheat mod. On DOW2's cheat mod it tells me in red text which option is being used when I use it but on CoH2 when I try an option nothing is displayed to tell me if it is working either.

BTW thank you for the mod. I just hope I can use it.

These are not global actions, or toggles like in typical trainers. These commands are executed on SELECTED UNITS, as the help page describes. You must select a unit in order to execute the command.

First, I am new to COH, and your mod works flawlessly! I did buy vanilla COH2 recently and installed according to directions. Dev mode was on. But when I pasted that copy in, it said "can't find file/folder ccm..." I do have that folder in the COH directory. Wonder how I'm messing this up?

Either way, thanks!

I'm kinda confused. Do you have COH2 or not?

Yes I have COH2 Steam, and I'm in dev mode using 1.5.2. I paste dofile("ccm/ccm.scar") exactly into the console and get the "can't find ccm file, etc."

I don't have the Armies of the West. I just installed COH2 a few days ago probably after that patch people were talking about.

Anyway, thanks for your response. Would love to get it working :)

Well, that means you've not installed it correctly. Make sure you follow this tutorial: Moddb.com

I find I need to be in-game before tyopig command in console. If I do it in the menu I also get file not found errors. try launching the campaign and then bring up the console and type in "dofile("ccm/ccm.scar")"

Thanks Janne252.

Obviously, the game is having trouble finding our folder. Could it be that is because I installed the game on an external drive (E:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Company of Heroes 2)?

Game build is 3.0.014690

Can you access E:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Company of Heroes 2\ccm\ccm.scar in windows explorer?

Yes, I can see your ccm files fine. I have most of my Steam stuff on E:\ including COH 1 with your mod.

I thought pasting it in through Steam local files would do it, but no dice. Your ccm files are dated 7/22/14 and ccm folder is in COH2 main directory. I paste dofile("ccm/ccm.scar") exactly as shown here into the console, but says can't find file, etc. If you can think of another way, let me know. Obviously, this is a popular game and is working for 99% of players.

Got it! I was copy/pasting ccm folder through Steam from my C:\ drive after download. When I moved the ccm folder to E:\ and copy/pasted, the Steam console found it.

Thanks - you are one smart dude.

Every now and then I get a Fatal Scar Error, and in the console this is the error message: Error running function "AE_BarrageEvent" from ScarFuncionCallAction." It's a minor irritation, but it's not game breaking.

I already installed it correctly, and it works fine, save for that one error. And I don't know what the AE_BarrageEvent is supposed to be. Maybe the victory strike?

If you could provide the warnings.log (my games /company of heres 2/warnings.log) after having this fatal scar error, I could take a look at it. You could use pastebin.com to share it.

Sure. I'll get around to it tomorrow. I'm hella busy right now. After playing a couple more hours, it hasn't happened in a while. When it does I'll be sure to send you the warnings.log file.

For this mod to run do i need to have the base game as well? i picked up the Standalone western armies, but it will not start if i try to add the command line. However when i remove the command line and leave -dev i can still input dofile("ccm/ccm.scar") and get "Control numpad is bound to" however there pressing CTRL + SHIFT + F1 doesnt bring anything up, will i need to purchase the base game to get this working?

did exactly as the video tut suggested janne, and im able to get everything but the overlay to work, -dev disabled everything but the custom game i know thats working correctly, and dofile("ccm/ccm.scar")has worked because i get this message on the console.

Media.moddb.com

Only thing that will not show up is the overlay, i have no idea what is causing the issue, but i havent had this issue while running the older cheatcommands folder and module file. Im going to reinstall that next and ill keep you posted if the issue resolves itself then.

Sorry for the last post not being a reply, but i resolved the issue. I ended up removing the ccm, re validating my game file, and THEN re adding the ccm file the command line. The game works fine now, and the overlay comes right up. Thanks for the great mod janne keep up the good work!

Looks like you had an outdated version of the mod installed, based on looking at your screenshot. I'm glad you managed sort it out.
