"Chambers" is a single player modification of the 2005 Action/Horror game F.E.A.R.. Without an actual story, it's only aim is to provide short time fun divided into several sublevels on a single map. The player starts in a safe room in which he or she can pick up weapons and medkits, whereas the enemies are waiting behind a closed door. It's entirely up to the player when he is ready to start fighting, as the door opens by pressing a button next to it. After clearing a stage, the player may move on to the next refill room - with standard weapons, medkits and armor, and proceed to the next stage. When opening the door to the next refill room, the door to the previous one closes, thus making it impossible to walk back to the beginning of the level in later stages. In addition to the standard stages there are "Boss" stages, only featuring a single enemy. The player can only move on to the refill room if this enemy is destroyed.

Good day, as for today I have a good news for the one and a half people who noticed this mod: I just got a second mapper to work on it! His username is Kopicon and he is a rather experienced F.E.A.R. mapper. To be honest, he's way better than myself. However, this is going to speed up the mapping process a lot.

Kopicon is just as German as I am, he's a mapper, he knows what he's doing and - as opposed to me - he's an adult! The very same day I told him about Chambers, he offered help. Unfortunately, he wasn't even registered back then. This problem is solved now.

Also, some news according the mod itself:

  • The refill room now contains the number of the following chamber so that you always know how far you got.
  • The existing chambers have been improved drastically in design and... and absolutely nothing else. Sorry.
  • One new chamber

Now you might think What? Only one additional chamber in over a week?!
Yes. Only one. Because currently I have been having a hard time with class tests - I hate Latin - and a bad class schedule (honestly, how drunk has the guy been that let me stay 'til 4 PM on mondays when I only have five lessons?).
But now for the good news: This is the last week of school this year and from saturday on I will continue working on the mod, and so will Kopicon. I hope.
