My second big project in modding for Carnivores. This time I have converted the fan-favorite Carnivores+ to the Modder's Edition Engine and put together standalone mods that could be used for this mod. I started working on this mod long before my first mod--Carnivores 2: The Canon Extended--was released.. I have created a README text that gives credit to all of the creators of the mods that I used.

Before playing this mod, please check out & play the vanilla Carnivores+. Like I said with C2 MEE (T.C.E.), this mod would not exist were it not for the wonderful & talented people in this community. So again, please go play Carnivores+ by itself to see it in all of its wonderous glory.

Carnivores+ is the successor to the now defunct Carnivores: Reloaded. Carnivores+ was created and led by Poharex, who has now stepped away from the community for personal reasons. He left this mod--as well as Mandibles & Carnivores Triassic--in the hands of the Carnivores community to pick up where he and his team left off. While I am still fairly new to this community, I wanted to bring Carnivores+ to life with the MEE.

Since creating my first mod, my programming skills have improved tremendously and with this mod I have learned how to program ambients to spawn in specific areas of the map! I don't know whether I will go back to my first mod to give it the same treatment, maybe when I update C2: MEE (T.C.E.) again I will look into it.

This mod only uses addons that were designed or intended for use in C+. As of writing this description, this mod features 51 map ambients (including the default MEE ambients except for the Trike & Pachy), which is unintentionally the same/similar amount as my first mod. However, I did notice that there was a major difference between the two.

Again, as of writing this description, the first mod features a total of 44 huntable creatures (2 are default MEE ambients, 10 are the main hunting roster, 32 are "new" addons) & 25 non-huntable creatures (5 are default MEE ambients, 6 are the legacy ambients, & 14 are "new" addons) for a grand total of 69 creatures populating the world. The second mod only features 32 huntable creatures (10 are the C+ main hunting roster & 22 are "new" addons), but it features a whopping 35 non-huntable creatures (5 are default MEE ambients, 6 are the default C+ ambients and 29 are "new" addons) for a total of 66 creatures populating the world.

In short summary, the first mod features more huntable creatures and the second mod features more non-huntable creatures). Now, while it may seem that the first mod would be more fun to play, this second mod features something more special. 21 of these map ambients are Poharex's C+ DLC creatures which were designed for the MEE but wasn't finished by the time he left. In the file, he made a README text which specifies the maps that each of these creatures could be found in and other information. With the exception of one, all of those map ambients are found on the maps that Poharex requested.

Possibly the second most significant thing about this mod is that it features 10/11 dinosaurs from the Jurassic Calamity pack. (The Iniquutyrannus had to sit this one because it has a custom kill animation). The maps that these dinosaurs spawn in were decided from watching Saurian Target's mod showcase of them.

Many of the creatures that I used in this mod were also featured in the C2 MEE mod. Reason being the creators of those mods specified or hinted towards their usage in C+.

I have created a map ambient guide to help you guys out.

Because this mod uses the MEE engine, the game may crash periodically. Many mods that use the MEE also experience crashes, so hopefully the MEE will be patched to reduce this problem.

Make sure you set the graphics to D3D or 3DFX in order to play this mod.

Did you already added Carnivorous Moschops? If not, that would be a funny thing to do. Nights only, Woods of Turan Chooks, Ceratosaurus AI (not necessary, it's just easier to swap animations for that AI, it shouldn't have more health than normal Moshops).

No I have not. That would definitely be a funny thing to do. Should it be a huntable or a non-huntable? And should only 1 be allowed to spawn or multiples? And should it be a rare spawn?

Non-huntable, because its just a moshops. Either 1 or 1-3 would be the best, but they should only spawn at night and only on the first map.

Got it. Any other creatures you can think of that could get added?

Sorry, not a the moment. I would really love to see Mark Hallett paleoart inspired tyrannosaurus relative (Poharex did one), but i afraid it wasnt released as model, let alone animated or given sounds. Sauro and Iniq, if you give them the same treatment as realistic t.rexes from T.C.N.E. (simply roaring instead eating with unique animations). But thats it, can really suggest anything more right now.

Don’t sweat it. I love getting ideas from the community. It gives me more content to put into these mods.

Saurophaganax and all 4 or 5 variants are planned to be featured in this mod. As for the Iniquutyrannus & Dryptosaurus (Iniq variant from Tropical De Veil pack), should I make their health the same as the T-Rex so that it is not invincible?

I think - yes. Unless there is something supernatural going on lorewise, i don't think they should have so much health - they still bleeding after being shot.

Hey I have another couple of questions about the carnivorous moschops. Should it be called Carnivorous Moschops or just Moschops? How aggressive should it be?

I’ve also done some research and apparently the carnivorous moschops is bigger than the regular moschops.

BTW, update for this mod is coming soon. Iniquutyrannus, Saurophaganax, & their reskins have been implemented and are ready to go.

Also, I probably should mention that this next update will mark the mod's final release, at least until the MEE gets updated
