Posted by on

Hello and welcome to the Campaign Collection mod.

Here you can find all the story missions from the Battle for Middle-earth series, updated for the Unofficial Patch 2.02 v9.0.0, which can be found here.

The story missions from the first game have been reorganized into a linear campaign, with four new missions. All campaigns can use the expansion units and heroes. The cut Gundabad mission from Rise of the Witch-king has been restored and polished. A lot of cut dialogue has been restored.

Hope you enjoy.

1. Install the unofficial 2.02 patch.
2. Download the CampaignMods.7z file and unpack it in your Electronic Arts folder. There should be three new folders here: BFME1 Campaign, BFME2 Campaign and RotWK Campaign. If you instead get an Campaignmods folder with those three inside, move all three to your Electronic Arts folder.
3. Each of the three folders have a shortcut inside. Double click the one you want to play.
4. If your copy of Rise of the Witch-king is installed somewhere else than "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts", you have to create new shortcuts. Right click on your lotrbfme2ep1.exe in your Rise of the Witch-king folder, choose "Show more alternatives" and select "Create Shortcut".
5. Right click on the shortcut, select "Properties", and in the destination address, add -mod at the end. Then copy everything in front of -mod and paste it behind -mod. Then remove "The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" and add either "BFME1 Campaign", "BFME2 Campaign" or "RotWK Campaign" at the end. It should look like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BFME1 Campaign" except with the address to where your copy of the game is installed.
6. If this doesn't work for you, you can copy the .big file from one of the campaign folders and put it directly in your Rise of the Witch-king folder, then copy the englishstringscampaign.big and put it in the lang folder inside your Rise of the Witch-king folder. Then start the game as you normally would.
Note that this breaks multiplayer compatibility, and you can only have one campaign active at once.
