so..... its been a while...... yeah, this mod's in purgatory once again..... its just that ive been kind of losing inspiration for working on this. i mean, i havent even played the original duke nukem in over a year now. actually, now that i think about it, i dont even think i played doom on my pc at all for a good long while. originally there were 3 thoughts going through my mind back in november of 2016. these being brutal doom 64 hype, duke nukem 20th anniversery remaster being released, and doom 2016 being out. ive never forgot about it, i think about it anytime i play any fps, or when im listening to the idkfa doom soundtrack (metal version for brutal doom), but i just keep losing motivation to work on it, plus my pc fucking up, and i keep getting distracted with my other projects that are top secret. i want this mod to be complete for 2 reasons. 1. a brutal duke mod sounds too bad ass to not exist, and 2. i could forget about it and move on. i probably sound like a whiny dick right now, but i did want to give an update. so, i cant tell you if this mod is dead or not. i honestly dont know. my fear is that i dont want to rush the mod just so i can be done with it. 2 years ago, when i started this, i was an idiot dumb dumb, and acted dickish to sarge in the comment section of brutal doom 64. i was like "so, no kicks, no alt. fires, no fatalities? no offense, but this is kind of lack luster coming from brutal doom", and i thought that it would have been like project brutality. use brutal doom as a base, and change it up entirely. but man, i did not know what i was getting into when i started this. plus, i kind of outgrown duke a bit. i still like the duke nukem games, specifically 3d, but its been a while since i played them. i need a few more days to think it over if i want to continue brutal duke. but just to be clear, its not dead unless i confirm it is dead.
UPDATE: im kind of considering going back to it now. still, its in purgatory until i make an announcement though. the main reason i want to finish this is because if i dont finish this, it will always come back to haunt me until i disappear from the internet forever one random day. but im actually wanting to go back to it for a reason other than this.

Nah mate, as far as i've seen you're doing a good job, i'd like to help but well, idk much about DOOM modding more than how to mount a modded game, althought i'd like to, there's so many games that need to be ported/re-ported into a project like this... what i'm trying to say is that you got a pretty good project there and it's worth the effort, really not the sort of project you want to see gone and, hey i know how it is, i've been trying to make a video game since i have memory and i've failed more times than i can count (because my memory is a mess)
and if you plan on leaving anyway which i hope you don't, it'd be good if you could at least give someone the project, like if someone has interest in the mod, you just leave the project current state for like download saying that all you want is your well deserved credit for getting this far with it and hope someone who also knows how to mod wants to finish it for you soon.
Because one thing's for sure, if i knew anything about DOOM modding i would love to work on this.
