So, this may be the biggest thing that has happened for this mod in a while, and that is good, so let´get to the point and say we are now using a new version of the engine named Source Engine Upgrade: Lite that provides many modern features at no performance cost, that means the mod will look far better, while still managing to run on your potato PC, good, isn´t it?, the engine is under heavy development right now, so it´s not open to everyone yet, but we have talked with the SEUL team and we have a early copy of the update, right now, BDOP is running on SEUL, now with the most important news out of the way, we are going to be celebrating another thing, and that is Broken Desert´s one year anniversary!, you heard us right, BDOP has been in development for a entire year, despite the mod being early, it has gone trough several different engines and executions before landing into Source, we have gone a long way since then, and to show that, we are going to be releasing a demo, hopefully before the end of the year, the demo will feature the first ever real levels made for Broken Desert: Operation Perdify (at the time called Broken Desert: The Crime Ring) re-made in SEUL, we´re pretty sure you´ll like them, we certainly do!
Also, we have a new feature, iron sights!, added in by the SEUL team, they will present an integral part to BDOP´s combat, that is highly based on accurate shot placement and mild movement, the combat itself will be reserved for another news post.
We still don´t have any screenshots to show because our latest level is still in it´s grey-box phase, but you will get a glimpse of it soon!, be a little more patient :P
