Antitribu also offers new main quests, maps, and over 100 new characters which vary from humans, vampires, zombies, to more uniquely formed monster bosses with new abilities and mechanics that change the way combat is experienced.

More information about these warriors is also available in the same link. enjoy.
Models are nice but the weapon looks more like Ninjato than Katana...
Here they are not seen clearly, please check here for more detailed and closer look up: Gamemodscore.org
I say that because that is the games default Katana . . .
cool
Very nice
Why would Chinese vampires sport (Japanese) Kendo outfits and katanas (also Japanese)?
Maybe I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm going to assume the Kueijin are fiercely traditional, and so this would be out of the question.
Great observation... maybe this are japanese KueiJin?
Then they'd be an entirely different and separate entity/ clan altogether D:
Traditional Japanese and Chinese don't associate well with each other. Heck, part of the Sino-Japanese Wars was that at least one side of the conflict saw the other as an inferior people, and there's been a lot of strife between the two nations/ people in the past.
I'm sure there's plenty of Chinese swords and armor/ outfits that could be used instead (reference-wise, anyways). Also, the "naginata" in the other picture is not a naginata at all, though it does look more like a Chinese halberd-esque design.
I agree on the sino-jappanese issue since i recently have moved to east asia and that is quite visible, but (most) things on mings property (except the the jade status) were jappanese based rather than chinese, the developers really didnt paid cultivate the cultural issues behind it. some they just got it right by luck or act of randomness.
we care alot about our designs, we just dont go by random and saying "hey this looks cool lets put it in the mod." our number one priority is time sensitivity regarding ancient armors, specially regarding the skeleton ones, you have no idea the research used behind it, from head to toe, even the shields and weapons all were carefully designed and researched to be just right.
I know how a naginata looks like, its usually even known as a katana with a very long grip. but our design issue is because of the modeling limitaion the game has. thinner than that creates problems. but good to have a perceptive player watching our mod, that is what i want in a gamer, and having them would make me feel good and warm at heart.
Oooh, never really paid too much attention to Ming's property, though I do remember thinking that it certainly seemed very out of place for a supposed-to-be-Chinese area.
And no doubt; the previous work I've seen with the other models is amazing :) Was in no way trying to downplay the quality or care. I was also unaware of the modeling limits in that sense, and I apologize.
Well if you want, you could always rename the naginata to "crescent blade," as the model looks almost exactly like the Chinese weapon of the same name (though I figure that's probably why you chose that design in the first place!). The katana could also be renamed to "miao dao," which is a Chinese sword that bears (at least aesthetic) resemblance to the Katana
I like the idea for the names. I might consider it. thanks.
About the other issue, the china town really looked like "little-tokyo" rather than the typical china town, the red dragon was the only part that had the coloring right, but most other elements looked pretty japanese, but i guess the developers looked the world in a nonbiased way, maybe this is a place were Japanese and Chinese are actually friends and the kuejin is a combination of both. and ming is probably a half chinese half japanese. now that would be a nice thought right ? unrealistic, but nice (^_^)
