Block Wars is a futuristic modification for Unreal Tournament 2004 which centers around the destruction of buildings. That's right, you get to destroy skyscrapers! You can burn, sabotage, loot, vandalize, and cause mayhem around your enemies building while they do the same to you! And when things get too rough, the police come in and start taking everyone down! Massive maps, custom vehicles, weapons, and characters, and special effects such as flight, vandalism, looting, and pyrotechnics are all planned for the public release. So have fun, and remember, "Decimate thy neighbor!"

Sorry, no screenies/renders this update.

The first article of news is that the Block Wars team is nearing the date of our very first internal alpha release. It includes one new map and a new gametype, Rampage, and does not change the weapons that came with UT2004.

Rampage is a gametype in which everyone competes to destroy the most objects in a specified time, recieving points as they do so. Time Limit will naturally be adjustable in server options, as well as a point maximum.

The second news item is that we are debating whether or not we will release a public beta of the Rampage game type. That means we need your help in deciding whether or not you would like to see a public beta soon. You can cast your vote by PMing Dragonmaw with the subject "Beta Poll", e-mailing him at dragonmaw@comcast.net, or commenting on the mod's profile.

That's all for today. Happy gaming.
