very different then hl1 but still amzing. I like how you made it have a more realist feel to it. Easly my favorite one out of the new update.
have you finished inbound? if so what does some of the other parts look like because all the screens seem to be around the same area.
The chapter isn't entirely done - I'm sitll working on the first level, hehe. These are just some shots of my progress in the level. We'll be keeping the community updated with more shots as progress continues.

I have seen people in quake 2 evolved forums who hate HL2 almost (kidding fella's I know ya love it :D)
They considered this mod the best effort over a valve game. Now, with this screen, I'm with them all the way. Better effort on this game than valve spent on HL2 :D

hehe i dunno why, but this looks like a lvl that would be in one of the thps series. *pictures skater in moon gravity mode grinding one escalator then ollying over the catwalk onto another escalator, clears the tram-escalator gap*

Hey - about that clock on the timetable display thing. What will happen if the player waits a minute? Will it update? It could really destroy the realism if it stayed the same.
You should make the time just one or two minutes early, Then make the announce say: "The time is 8:47 AM" just as soon as those tram timetables are not in the players sight. That way, You keep your realism without having to Make it update itself. Then make any other tram timetables later in the Opening Sequence appear with later times. The train ride in the original is about ten minutes, I'll have to time it someday.

its possible that you dont actually board the tram here, or even at all. you might start out riding it like in hl1, and this is just passing intangible scenery.
however, if it were the case that the player were able to see the clock for over a minute, that would be a different story. my suggestion would be, if this were to be a part that the player boards the tram, is to make a sense of urgency or set a time parameter for the tram to launch i.e. leaving gordon behind if not caught in time and restarting due to failure to accomplish a time critical event. i could go into details and create a technically correct scenario to give you an idea of what kind of backstory would take effect if gordon were to miss that tram, but youve already got the general idea.
or you could just make a clock.
