Great to see another update! I have a possible issue I ran into, it was generated on 1.2.0 but I don't see it in the release notes:

A key item (C4) was hidden in 501:2 which is only visible after using the lighter on the flare canon after taking the tram. This was a Claire A scenario so she doesn't have the lighter, and the lighter wasn't spawned anywhere. It's still possible to pick the item up if you know exactly where to look, but it's completely invisible which I don't think is fair for a key item.

Also, do you have a list of room numbers to help us decode the logs when we want to troubleshoot? I found a list and a visual map online, but it uses different numbers than your logs (for example, Kendo's shop is listed as 1010 in my list).

You can use this, just ignore the 4th digit when you look at the numbers.

I can tell it to require / spawn the lighter for that item. Although I can't see unexperienced RE players doing the rando, they would struggle too much. Similar siutation with the desk in the stars office, you have to know to check it 50 times.

This Biorand crash on me while playing Leon A and did a door rando so i hope it got fixed. I have the seamless HD mod installed will that fix the game from crashing?

Hi, I have a problem when trying to generate the seed when i accidentally put Health, Ammo and Ink to None and now it wont let me use the randomizer at all.

I've already tried redownloading it from scratch but this does not work.

I delete the Config file and it lets me boot up the randomizer but will not allow me to generate a new seed and if i leave the config file, it just does not load up the generator at all.

Any help?

Thanks for the report. That is quite a nasty bug indeed. You can delete the config file `%APPDATA%\biorand\settings.json` to fix it. I will make sure that doesn't happen in the next update.

Is it best to contact you here for issues or on github ?
Also, do you plan on adding other skins and npcs ?
Like for example, being able to play as Kendo or Ben.
Aswell as adding characters and voices from RE1 and RE3 ? I can bring that together to help, already did it for RE1 for a mod I'm working on.

I would like to do this, but as far as I know, I can only share music and voices between the games, not the models. So each model would need to be custom made for RE2 and shipped with the randomizer. If you are able to provide the files (with permission from you or author) required to do this I am more than happy to incorporate this.

Here, discord or GitHub is fine for contact. Any issues raised here I raise on GitHub as well to keep track of them.

By the way, if you get soft lock problems like this, you can just reset the room via the debug menu, or move to a different room.

My biorand won't launch. It worked the first time but now it doesn't open up. No current rando seed is active so I have no clue what's wrong. Cloud it be with all the files or just biorand?

It might be the issue raised above where setting all the item ratio sliders to 0 crashes it. You can try deleting the config file `%APPDATA%\biorand\settings.json` to see if that fixes it.

Softlock (I think) with Leon B: taking the ladder down in the warehouse after using a Small Key puts you on a lift that sends you off into the aether where you can move around but not seem to do anything, and this is during a door rando run.

The seed is R221-VFPB-Z1L53C7.

Can you clarify what you mean by warehouse? I tried the south office where you use the small key and go down the ladder - but that just takes you to a small save room.

Report: this seed soft lock right at the beginning with Claire but work normally for Leon. Also I wanna ask did you fix B scenerio yet?

Depends on what you mean by fix, the B scenario is a lot more stable now compared to previous versions. Any bugs from now on could be in either character or scenario.

Can you tell me how you were soft locked? The seed is for Leon A / Claire B - did you actually play Claire B or did you try Claire A?

Claire B got soft lock in the end. I got to the train section with claire and sherry but I couldn't find a key to open the gate.
And I found out the reason: if I triggeres the Annette death scene with sherry crying next to her, and have sherry follows me, then when I enter the Lab elevator it will force me to use the master key to go to the train section, thus I will get soft lock if I dont have master key with me and also I'll miss another sections that I normally can access using the Lab Elevator.
Another soft lock that can occur with Leon scenario. When you enter the hall way that lead to Ben's prison cell there can be 2 cutscenes that could get triggered, and 1 of them is Ben getting killed by Birkin. When this scene occurs the game will tell you NOT to go to the manhole room and go to Ben's cell to check him out instead. But at that point I cant find a way back to ben's cell because it stays in the previous segment and there's no possible way to go back. So after the ben death scene triggered, I couldnt go to the manhole door but luckily there were no important item in that door.

I think the rando would be more interesting if we have more chance to face Mr.X in hard setting. And if u can I hope u can replace enemies randomly with some bosses, just like in extreme battle mod. Replacing all enemies in 1 room with a boss randomly.

also I really hope you did fix that soft lock with ben cutscene. I keep running into that soft lock cutscene, cant go back to where I was because of this "I have to get back to Ben!" message. That means I have to play the entire thing again for no good reason.

I ran into another dead end, this time with Leon B. I can only find 1 plug. the other is missing and can't be found.
I think you shouldn't randomize the plug. Make it that if we enter the final section with super tyrant then we beat Scenario B, just like with Scenario A when you enter birkin room. Oh and maybe you shouldn't randomize the rocket launcher too. These 3 are end game key items you shouldn't randomize them cuz I am feeling frustrated right now when I got to the super tyrant area with a plug and the rocket launcher missing. And of course they can't be found in the final segment. I searched everywhere.

Without the seed, I can not investigate where your plug was.

I explicitly made it not randomize the rocket launcher, so not sure if you are saying you hit that or not.

I have now prevented the plugs from appearing in the usual place. This means you have to find both plugs before you enter the platform area and you know they will never be after the gate so you can avoid starting the countdown timer.
