After many many hours of work I finally finished the 1st version of the 1st Battle of Geonosis.
How to install this mod:
1. Download and install the 1.3 patch -> Gametoast.com [click mediafire link and follow the instructions]
2. Move the RDX folder to your addon Battlefront 2 folder:
Mine is like this: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon
Yours can be different and if you don't have that folder just create it.
3. Open the game, choose Geonosis, choose Clone Wars Redux and Conquest.
4. ENJOY! :D
Features:
- 10 Republic classes and 9 CIS classes. There are lots of new weapons. (information for their respective loadouts in the following link: Trello.com)
- Both sides have 2 available heroes (Aayla Secura, Mace Windu, Count Dooku and Jango Fett). However, when loading the map the game will choose 1 of them randomly for the player. Also, AI will be able to use both of them at any times.
- Movement stats and all infantry weapons stats have been tweaked in order to give a more star wars authentic experience.
- Droid engineers can heal other droids with their fusioncutters.
- There are 100 units on the map [basically at all times].
- Droidekas shoot 4 bolts per shot and Jango Fett and B2-HA Super Battle Droids shoot 2 bolts per shot.
- Every unit is unlocked from the start.
- Jedi/Sith power stats inspired by Movie Battles 2.
- Droideka unroll and roll time has been replicated from Episode 1 (when Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan encounters 2 droidekas on the Trade Federation ship).
- Most reload times for weapons have been inspired by BF4 weapons.
- Weapons are more accurate if you don't move.
- Most weapons have recoil.
- Jetpack fuel lasts 20 seconds and recharges in 10 seconds.
- Geonosians do mroe damage and you can play with them.
- The E-5s works like a DMR from BF4.
- Movement stats and some weapon stats are inspired by EA Battlefront 1
Things to expect in the next snapshot:
- New sound effects for almost every weapon. [Done]
- Jango's poison dart will have a model. [Done]
- HUD icons for weapons that don't have one.
- Removed melee due to game limitations. [Done]
- Updated vehicle weapons and health. [Done]
- AI will shoot more with their weapons. [Done]
- Autoturret laser color fixed. [Done]
- New pistol animation. [Done]
- Kit Fisto.[Done]
- Jango Fett's Jetpack Rocket [Done]
- Improved Jedi/Sith powers. [Done]
- Maybe a backpack for the Clone Medic [Done], a cannon for the B2-HA Super Battle Droid and maybe the B1 Grapple Droid [Done].
Assets I can't find (original links are broken) and that I need desperately:
Known bugs:
- One of Jango Fett's pistol won't show when he is using his jetpack. [Fixed]
- The melee animation for some ARC troopers is used when they are throwing grenades. [Fixed]
- Jango Fett doesn't shoot from his second weapon [Imposible to fix]
- Missing first person models. [Not going to be fixed]
- EMP grenades don't disable vehicles. [Fixed]

If you find any bugs at all please let me know via a PM or in the comments below. Please, if you have any suggestions let me know!. They are deeply appreciated, I can make the AI be more difficult and do many more modifications too. I really want this mod to have balanced sides.
Enjoy! and "May the force be with you".
After playing for a little bit, gotta say its a lot of fun! Nice balance of making weapons pack a punch but not instant 1-shots. I think some new particle effects for weapons would be cool if possible.
My only complaint might be that I personally feel that units move a little too slow. I saw that this was to match some other games you mentioned but personally it felt too bogged down. I'd recommend turning up the movement speed a tad bit so it doesn't feel like I'm lagging haha.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot! Getting used to the movement takes a bit of time haha. I had the same trouble playing it the first time but after playing more rounds I got used to it and now it seems more natural. I understand your complaint but unfortunately, I don't play on going in that direction :( Nevertheless, I appreciate your feedback.
Stay tuned for version #2!
Just discovered and played it a little bit too
As said, packs a fun. As said, moves are slow, and at first, it's disturbing, but finally you can see the thing in two ways :
-It's too slow, the game was originally designed to play with faster gameplay than today games, thus it's wrong.
-It's slow, but moves are more strategic. This is how I see this weakness/strengh
Weapons pack more a punch than the original game, but still need several shots to kill. That's pretty good.
Geonosian was buffed. Deserved it, ant at last has a First Person view.
Droideka is cheaty. Powerful, fast, long range power. Quad shots should spread way more following the shoot distance, or the Droideka should have its ammo cut in half.
Interesting mod I now want to follow.
One question, are you planning to bring some diversification to each factions units following the map? Like wookiees for the republic on Kashyyyk, gungans for the republic on naboo etc? That would be really cool !
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. I want Battlefront 2 to be more strategic and aunthentic that's why I reduced heaavily the movespeed and changed the damage for various weapons. In the next snapshot the droideka will recieve a little nerf. It will shoot 2 bolts per shot instead of 4. I do plan on bringing diversification to each faction like the examples you put as long as it is lore-friendly. Happy New Year!
Well you fully have my attention then ! :D
That's something great you're doing here, keep it up !
And happy new year too ;)
Oh just one thing : maybe B1 battle droids deserve a new paintjob, fitting their geonosian counterparts from episode 2 ;)
I just finished doing that thanks!
why does it feel like everyone walks in slow motion? besides that, the mod is great I would like to see also first person hd models
It feels that everyone walks in slow motion because the default movement of the game is 7 meters per second or 15.6586 miles per hour when moving in a straight line, which is terribly unrealistic. Because of this, I copied EA's Battlefront 1 movement stats which is 4 meters per second or 8.94775 miles per hour when moving in a straight line. There are many other variables that influence the character movement that I also mirrored. Since most mods don't change movement stats, you are accustomed to the default speed, therefore you think everyone is going in slow motion, but when you play more and more matches with my mod, the movement velocity won't bother you that much. Sadly I don't plan on doing first person models at the moment. Thanks for the feedback :)
clone wars redux is not showing up in my game can anyone tell me what is wrong i did everything what the description said.
You probably didn't install it correctly. All you need to do is install the 1.3 patch and then move the RDX folder to your addon folder.
