Battlefield Commander is a Total Conversion mod for C&C;3 Tiberium Wars, bringing Battlefield 2, the First Person Shooter, into a RTS engine. We plan to make this mod work as close to Battlefield 2 as possible, while still keeping the feeling that you are playing a RTS. In this mod, you will play the roll of a commander, passing various different commands to your team from attacking an enemy, to capturing ground. One of the main roles of commander in Battlefield 2 was calling in support weaponry, such as UAVs or Artillery Strikes, this is something that will not be missing from BFC. The mod will also feature a vehicle system in the same way as BF2, where as you put infantry in to control them and then the infantry can leave the vehicles at any time, all vehicles will automatically spawn onto the battlefield in the same way as the original game, thus meaning you only build infantry. Hopefully this way, the mod will move away from the generic tank spamming and such that you get in most..

We, the Battlefield Commander team have decided that we are going to put the mod on hold until the release of C&C 3. At present we havent got the time to dedicate to the mod to get it to a playable point before C&C 3 comes out, so we have decided to wait until C&C 3 comes out and use it instead, this will allow us to do a lot of things we wanted to do, for example, picking up weapons, turrets that have locked angles (The Blackhawk for instance) and many other things.

So the moddb profile will probably be shut down soon along side with the website and will be re-oppened in a few months time.
