The Black Hole issue their soldiers a variety of
combat drugs, packaged into the “Scarab”
combat drug injector. This frightening device is
jabbed into the arm where it digs it’s needles
into veins and arteries to deliver it’s
near-lethal cocktail of combat drugs into the
bloodstream. The chemical given to the Macabric,
the Black Hole equivalent of the riflemen,
restores the stamina of the soldier and makes him
temporarily tougher.
Unique.
Certainly unique, but I have a few questions. (1) it's near lethal? shouldn't it be safe so that an already weak soldier doesn't die, but instead have his stamina restored? (2) why does it have to be mounted on a bug-like robot?
I like the universe that you guys have invented for this mod, but you should also definately have everything make sense at least to an extent, unless you're going for a Serious Sam -esque kind of gameplay / plot, in which case this is *totally* cool. ;D

The Black Hole Army does a whole lot of stuff that doesn't make sense at all. Of course the injections are lethal, they cost a lot less, and it gets rid of expensive and expendable soldiers. Of course it's mounted on a bug-like robot, it wouldn't look as freaky to the enemy if you just jabbed in this tiny needle. Like I said, Black Hole guys are all about chaos and insanity. Whatever makes you puke the most works the best.
Part of the reason that the system is mounted on is that, in order to make it function more effectively, it injects it's chemicals into every blood vessel in the arm. Also, it serves to heighten the idea that Black Hole troops are not human. They have no problem jabbing this thing into their arm.
Originally this was a simple hypospray system, but that was no fun at all.
