There's a few bits of good news about Battle Mech. A lot of people have been requesting that Battle Mech become stand-alone, so they don't have to buy Quake to play it. Well, after a great deal of (on-going) work, exactly that has been done. When the game is released next month during QExpo, it will be completely stand-alone.

I would love submissions of model and sound replacements, since they will be needed to finish the job. In other news, Battle Mech is ready for maps. I'm hoping to get a large variety to include with the release, so there's about 15 days or so left. Mapping for the mod is very easy, so there should be plenty of time. You can visit the screenshots section to see some examples.

Please visit the mod profile or help wanted post for info.

And last but not least, the aiming in Battle Mech has finally been perfected. All the previous problems have been fixed, and the horizontal auto-aiming system is excellent. You can even turn auto-aiming off and go pro if that suits your style.
