Blachoth clan submod adds a whole new playable faction to the already huge roster of Divide and conquer submod gor TATW. Take control over one of the strongest Rhunic clans and use their agressive battle style to crush your enemies. Requires DaC v3, it is highly suggested that it is a fresh and clean build because I will not be responsible if you mess something up.

BALCHOTH CLAN SUBMOD

Hello everyone and welcome to the preview of my submod that adds a new playable faction - The Balchoth Clan into the already huge roster of factions.

First things first, the technical part... For this mod you need a clean DaC V3 installation, it can be copied or installed whatever you prefer, it just needs to be mod free. I recomend having 2 DaC installed because this is my first mod and things could go wrong. After you download the zip file unpack it into the folder where you have your game, make sure the file destination ends with third_age_3 or whatever you renamed that file to, it cant end with data!!! After you have chosen that folder rewrite all the files and then go to data/sounds and delete events.idx also go to data/world/maps/base and delete map.rvm. If you have any questions or bug report feel free to pm me on twc, post them in this thread or contact me in DaC discord channel. Also the looks and the lore of the faction is not gonna change so just deal with it, I like them, if you dont, dont install the mod. Stats can change if a big number of people points out the same strenght/weakness.

KNOWN PROBLEMS:


Yes, they use the reunited kingdoms start models, I have struggled so long to create new ones that I have almost lost interest in this mod, and to prevent that from happening I just roled with these. The dark lord has the same icon as the Balchoth Clan because I encountered a button problem and I cant add a new one for the Balchoth so they just share the same new look. When played by the AI the Clan is kinda not doing much, so its really intended to be played by the player. Admiral and Captain pics are for some reason pink, I cant figure out where i messed up, if I do or someone else does I will release a hotfix. Regular crashes happen when going from custom battle to campaign and when going back to change stats in custom battles. Some of the V3 hotfix problems are solved, but not all of them, I transfered most of my files to v3 build before I found out about a hotfix and then I just coudnt do the hotfix. If a lot of bugs are found I will release a hotfix with time.

FACTION OVERVIEW:

Balchoth Clan is a faction that starts just below Dorwinion and next to Rhun, they are allied only to Dol Guldur and they are at war with Gondor and Rohan. Their play style is very agressive with lots of ap units, note that all of the ranged units are ap on projectile only. They have no defensive units with only 1 cavalary choice that is limized to grassland regions. They have a unique script which you can persue or just ignore. The script states that the Balchoth Clan should rule the east which can only be achieved by killing Rhun, Khand and Harad. After each of these factions loses their core territories to Balchoth Clan you will be rewarded with some units, and after all of them have been killed by you, you will be able to train the mighty eastern champions. Also one of the key elements of the faction is that they get no guilds and they canot upgrade their armour, they came to fight and so they will fight.
