Arctika is set in the near future. The Arctic regions of the world are now mostly controlled by two large Corporations - Ravencom and Unicorp. In our Multiplayer war these two corporate giants do battle to control the frozen wastelands. A Singleplayer version is also already underway in which you play Jackson Riggs, hired by Unicorp. They drop you off at their corporate headquarters in Anchorage. You must brave the bitter cold , snow and ice, to reach their Deep Arctic Research Station. The mod is currently on hold

First I would like to apologize to everyone that has worked so hard on the Defcon Softaware mod teams. I am finally back online after a few months with no internet connection, due to a move that took much longer than expected. The California market is way tighter than it had been. But now i have a home again, and will work with great effort to get the mod Arctika and the other Defcon mods back online.

Major League Online the parent company of Defcon Software has just added a new owner. "Doc Holliday" is his game name. Some may know him already as he created the Defcon Software site. He along with "webStalker" and myself will
work hard to get MLO and Defcon back and even better than before.

Expect Arctika to get underway soon- anyone interested on working on Arctika for Half-life and Half-Life 2 please contact Racer, Mantis, British Bomber or Awesome Possum or one of the Opped members in IRC on Gamesurge #Defconsoftware
