Mod to add Playable Bugs into Starship Troopers Terran Command. Version 2.1 is compatible with Chemical Reaction update and Editor Release. The editor allows you to use the new units and tunnel system to make scenarios as the Bugs.
This version updates the mod to work with the release of Chemical Reaction update which added new fields to .csv files. It includes new units and some tweaks to the tunnel spawning system. Use this mod along with the Scenario Editor to create Bug missions.
To have Arachnid units under player control:
1. Open scenario editor
2. Add Arachnid units to the map
3. Select all bugs you wish to switch to player controlled (Brain Bug is needed to spawn tunnels)
4. Select the blue (federation) button on the units tab
5. Click 'Yes' to change ownership of units.
This mod adds:
- New Bugs added; Rippler Bugs, Worker Bugs, Blister Bugs, Blaster Bugs, Cliff Mites, Spider Bugs, Infant Plasma, Control Bugs, Infiltrator Bug, King Tanker Bug, Queen Rippler
- New MI added; Powersuit Snipers, M8 Ape suit, M9 Ape Suit, APCs, Uplink towers that spawn units randomly, Psychic Officers, Laser Turrets
- ## WIP ## New Skinny units added; Skinny Raider, Skinny Leader, Skinny Warlord
- Tunnel Structures for spawning more units. Reworked in this version.
- Tunnels have defensive weapons, like plasma and warrior ambush.
- Brain Bug cannot die. When killed, it will burrow underground. Can unburrow when safe.
- Tunneling Mechanic
- Chariot Bugs spawn ambushing warrior bugs on top of MI forces. Defensive weapon.
- Chariot Bugs and Brain Bugs can now clear Hives.
- Added Fleet Uplink Array to automatically call in airstrikes on players bugs.
- Added Reinforcement Towers to call down MI forces for the computer, in a randomised pattern.

- (Requires Editor Beta) 4 Modified Kawalasha Campaign missions can be loaded by copying 'Scenarios' folder into the following path:
\Documents\my games\Starship Troopers
- First Arachnid Command Mission, First Contact, added as the tutorial mission.
Known issues:
- Occasional crashes if you Unburrow worker bugs inside collision mesh of Bug Holes.
- Only Brain Bug and Chariot Bugs can clear tunnels.
Uninstall:
Open game properties in Steam.
Click 'Local Files' tab.
Click 'Verify integrity of game files...'
how do you get this to work?
- Open Steam
- Open Starship Troopers Terran Command Properties
- Click 'Local Files' tab
- Click 'Browse...'
- Navigate to file path:
\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starship Troopers - Terran Command
- Paste 'Starship Troopers_Data' folder into here.
- Click yes to Allow files to be replaced. (replacing 6 files; Unit.csv, Abilities.csv, Variables.csv, Weapons.csv, English_0.csv)
