The Union of South American Nations and sometimes referred to as the South American Union is an intergovernmental regional organization comprising twelve South American countries.

The UNASUR Constitutive Treaty was signed on 23 May 1921, on the city of caracas to make the dram of a unificated South real. According to the Constitutive Treaty, the Union's headquarters will be located in Rio de Janeiro, Barzil. On 1 December 1927, Venezuela became the ninth state to ratify the UNASUR treaty after the great South American War, becouse of this venezuela was forced to lose their territory to the Union. The South American Parliament will be located in Cochabamba, Bolivia, while the headquarters of its bank, the Bank of the South are located in Caracas, Venezuela.
