installation: substitute the original .dll file, with the one provided in the zip file.
start (and continue) with 5 lives instead of 3
jump higher (+20%)
be invulnerable longer after respawn (+20%)
big bag gives more money (25 instead of 20)
slide under blocks with ease (compared to the default setting)
stop almost immediately when not sliding (when not holding down direction)
ghost/death monster chase alex slower
capsule a now produces 10 times more mini alex
you can now buy an extra life multiple times in the shop
game option: reduced hitboxes is on by default now
[suggestion: if you already did the "first time configuration" you need to set "reduced hitboxes" setting manually... it is inside options, open the game settings menu and choose the option to reduce the hitboxes, otherwise you get easily killed, since the standard hitbox of alex kidd is simply too big.]
Thanks for the enhanced mods! I have a further question: May you give me a hint to rebind the buttons of the game controller input (xbox) with dnspy?
I have an arcade controldeck and want to rebind X (punch) to A, A (jump) to B, RT to LT.
no idea sorry, did you try a software that creates a virtual gamepad out of a real gamepad ?
so you can change which key activates a virtual gamepad key.
Yes, I already use xoutput for remapping.
But when I rebind X to A, the game still graphically shows X for a punch.
With FrostyEditor, for example, I have linked the throttle action from the right trigger to the A button for Nfs Heat.
Now I would like to know if this works with dnspy or maybe another tool?
