Concentrating on the late medieval period, Age of Chivalry: Hegemony replaces or significantly alters each of the civilizations in the original game, while adding a number of new ones, allowing the player to control Central and Western European states. Many new units and technologies have been added and gameplay dynamics have been changed considerably in this complete overhaul of Age of Empires II.
Age of Chivalry: Hegemony is a total conversion mod for AoK:TC set in Western and Central Europe, 1200-1500. This release fixes installation issues many people experienced with the previous version (2.01)
Great!!
Love this game, love this mod.
For a time, with the previous version 1.99, my friends and I were successfully hosting and joining multiplayer sessions through the INTERNET TCP / IP option,
With this new version we are having difficulties, even after having applied the recommended port forwarding from this page. Microsoft support. "Ports that you must open in Windows Firewall to play or to host a multiplayer game in Age of Empires II
Email"
Connection Ports for Client Configuration Ports for Host Configuration
Initial TCP Connection 47624 Outgoing 47624 Incoming
Subsequent TCP Incoming 2300-2400 2300-2400
Subsequent TCP Outgoing 2300-2400 2300-2400
Subsequent UDP Incoming 2300-2400 2300-2400
Subsequent UDP Outgoing 2300-2400 2300-2400
Anyone's help would be much appreciated, thankyou.
Hi, Age of Chivalry uses the Userpatch which should make port forwarding easier. I don't know anything about this myself, but the Userpatch change log has this to say about port forwarding:
Port Forwarding
•Install with admin privileges to automatically setup your firewall.
•Forwarding ports is only necessary to connect outside a LAN.
•Only use if you can't directly forward 2300-2400 TCP/UDP and 47624 TCP.
•Ports will be forwarded dynamically as required when installed.
•UPnP must be enabled on your router for this feature.
To activate the Userpatch port forwarding functionality, go to your main AoK folder (in my case that's C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II) and find a file named SetupAoC. This allows you to configure your Userpatch settings. Start it up and toggle the port forwarding option. Make sure it's set the same for all your friends. Try again.
I can't guarantee anything but I hope that resolves your problems!

Hi,I want to play it on Ranger Game, but it isn't on my play list,do I need some kind of patch to play it in multiplayer?
To make Chivalry get detected on GameRanger:
Rename aoc.exe to age2_x1.exe (back up the latter file) in your Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\age2_x1 folder, and copy The Age of Chivalry.cpx file from Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Games\Age of Chivalry\Scenario to Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\campaign. GameRanger should now detect Age of Chivalry.
It worked!Thank you.
Hi guys, maybe it's silly but I wanted to ask if they're will be a French version of age of chivalry because maybe I'm wrong but I saw patch with German language for example, so if you guys can make a French patch or something like that, I would be happy.
(Sorry if my English is bad but it's because I'm French and I can't understand everything) thanks for reading :)
The language packs are translations made by fans. If people volunteer to translate the files into French, I will also distribute them like the previous language packs. :)
I hope that there will be some people who might want to translate the game. I want to help but I don't know how to do a translate X)
To translate the mod, you need to edit a few files in particular:
* The language.dll file, found in: \Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Games\Age of Chivalry\Data (This file contains the most important text - unit, tech, building descriptions, unit commands, things that appear in the interface, etc)
* The language.per file, found in: \Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Games\Age of Chivalry\Script.AI\Barbarian (This contains the text used by the AI when it sends you a message)
* And the history files, found in: \Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Games\Age of Chivalry\History (The text used in the history section)
To edit the language.dll file you need ResHacker, which you can download here: Angusj.com
The other files are text files (even the .per file, despite its extension) and can be edited using notepad. Keep in mind that you should edit this file as flat text, not rich text - otherwise, a number of symbols might not appear, such as é etc.
But it is a lot of work, as there's a lot of different text that appears in Age of Chivalry! So I can only recommend starting if you're sure you can finish. :)
I think I'll wait until someone do the translate because my English isn't perfect so I can't understand everything and I had bad memories about a complete translate that I did for tale of the middle Earth.i couldn't launch the game because it said that there was an error in the language.dll file and I couldn't find it X)
Hi, I have a question, how can i install it?
Hey, I have a problem when I start the mod, I already have the 2.02 version, I put the Spanish pack and it still asks me to insert the Conquerors CD to play .. Can you help me? (Srry for bad english..)
Hi, what version of AoK:TC do you have? It sounds like you may have the Gold or Collector's edition. The error you're describing usually occurs when someone has that edition, installs the C patch, and then installs Age of Chivalry. But the Gold and Collector's editions already have the C patch pre-installed by default, and installing the C patch will give players that error. To resolve the problem, reinstall AoK:TC, don't install the C patch, and then install Age of Chivalry.
Hope that helps!
Yeah, it works now, but when i create a villager in the first age, the game stops and says ''Age Of Empires II Conquerors stop working''... Can you help me?
Just gotta ask, how do you full screen it? because when i chose my preferred resolution, (1366x768) It goes off screen
It sounds like you may have picked a resolution that has a different height/width ratio than your screen.
So is there anyway to fix it? my monitor size is 1366x768 and hate being stuck to a minimal 800x600
What do you mean exactly with 'it goes off screen'?
sorry for the accidental guest comment there. Like i said, is there anyway to fix this?
Why when i play the third mission of Barbarossa the game gets closed?? It happen in Joan Of Arc and Attila too.
Downloaded and played your mod. It's pretty great, mate, good work!
Say, there is a lot of neat "decoration stuff" you use on your maps, like fountains or gardens. I can't find that stuff in the editor. Might I ask you how did you get them and how can I get it too?
Helder
Thanks! You can find those objects in the Units section, in the Other tab, and make sure you have set the player to Gaia. Some other gaia-exclusives can be found under Units - such as birds and other wild animals.

i'm a bonified cheater and i'm not sad about that fact....what i am sad about is when i type my cheat to spawn the COBRA then my enemies starts ******* mass producing the ******* thing!!!...so my question is...can this be fixed....and AWESOME GAME THO I LOVED THE CAMPAIGN!!!
Why are there no graphics in the history menu, once you remove the file called wndmode.dll?
Why are you removing files from the installation?
Hi, first of all thanks a lot for the great efford you took. That gave my friends and me plenty of fun hours in multiplayer.
But I have one questions: since the latest patch it seems that you can not build heroes anymore. You can develop the technology and the symbol appears, but when you click on it nothing happens.
Do you happen to start games in the 14th or 15th century? Heroes cost a hidden resource, which in the current release is granted by researching the 14th century. So if you start a game in the 14th century or later, you don't get that hidden resource and so can't train heroes. This will be fixed in the next version.
its a great mod, maybe the greatest ever for this game, but if u include Spain and Portugal would be great.
