Progress Report

News 1 comment

The bad news first, My laptop has been acting up lately and it finally broke down a few weeks ago. Just as I was backing up the latest test version of the mod. The file was unfortunately corrupted due to the sudden power-loss and my progress was pushed back a little bit.

Fortunately, I saw the possibility of having to face a scenario like this and I stored an older version and the raw 2D/3D assets on my mobile hard drive, therefore I can just export them and minimizes the losses incurred. The re-writing of .def and .set as well as other text files will take sometime though, but no major permanent damage was done.(some artistic inconsistency may exist)

The bulk of the artistic assets such as humanskins, infantry portraits are mostly finished for WWII China and Japan. Before the drama, I was working on adding more new civilians and vehicles to the mod.

The major obstacle lying ahead is the Map&Mission, as I am seriously short-staffed right now, I have to work on several different things simultaneously(humanskins, textures, portraits, sets, sound effects, voice acting, etc) and lack the time to port new buildings.

Ideally, a closed test will be carried out by the end of the year.
