The Northern Excursion mod (once called the "Extreme Realism" mod) is a game-enhancement mod that introduces a new faction, the "North American Coalition" (NAC), re-introduces the jet fighter/bomber air vehicle types from Battlefield 2 and also brings back old features which were left out of the original Battlefield 2142 such as stationary machine guns, visual effects, unused voice overs and more.
Updated possible Zeller replacement for the NAC Faction.

The scope includes an advanced tactical interface, giving the shooter information such as range. It's full automatic. .50 Caliber, and fires tungsten-carbide shells with a plexiglas ramjet, innertial guidance and fins, giving it quite a lot of range as well as accuracy.
Unfortunately, a cup-holder couldn't be included.
Watch a cup-holder mod for the magazine be released in a few weeks.
Real snipers use beer hats.

Its like the SA-50 Sniper Rifle, that one is a full auto as well. Its just shot in bursts :D
What, no cup-holder? Where i'm going to put my hot chocolate when i'm ventilating heads from a distance? Also the scope looks too futuristic, make something more traditional. (Just kidding)

Excellent work guys!, I can't wait to use it in-game against some EU or PAC forces. But, fully automatic?, well...I agree with SGT. Davis44, that will hurt...
Is the fully automatic mode like the BF Bad Company one?
No, the firing rate will be much slower than the VSS. Much slower. More like the T88 or whatever it's called. It will however keep firing if you hold down the trigger, unlike "normal" snipers.

Think of it like an automatic Zeller sniper rifle, with a slightly larger magazine but damage being cut back by 30%.
The zeller was the upgrade rifle, right? Pretty much anything you make will be a step up from the zeller.
The draw to the upgrade sniper was that it killed infantry with light armor in one hit, but according to my source and from what I've seen, almost nobody plays in light armor on purpose except recon class. On top of that, having to shoot heavy infantry directly in the head for a one shot kill can be done with each team's standard sniper rifle anyways. On top of that, having to frequently reload is the death of a sniper.
So making a full auto version of the zeller is probably the only thing you can do to make the zeller worth while.
