The Northern Excursion mod (once called the "Extreme Realism" mod) is a game-enhancement mod that introduces a new faction, the "North American Coalition" (NAC), re-introduces the jet fighter/bomber air vehicle types from Battlefield 2 and also brings back old features which were left out of the original Battlefield 2142 such as stationary machine guns, visual effects, unused voice overs and more.

EU Sniper Rifle
The model we've used for the sniper rifle has been very low poly for a long time and didn't look that good. HustlerJohn managed to add a lot more detail on the thing without having to increase the amount of polys, which is great!
EDIT: Thanks for the weapon name ideas! It's not named the "Recluse" Precision SR13.

My new fav sniper ;-) And about names.. What with "Thunderbolt"? It was the first that came to my mind when I saw this beuty... But it's a kinda long name though :-/
why not name this weapon after a dangerous animal/venomous spider or snake located in north america since it's for the Nac? Maybe like:
"Recluse Precision SR13"
or
"Cottonmouth Precision SR13"
Good idea. Weapons are sometimes named after dangerous things, like the Sidewinder air-to-air missile was named after the Sidewinder Viper (snake).
I think you should name it after something like... Tyrannosaurus Rex maybe? He's definitely dangerous! :D
lol who the heck would use "Tyrannosaurus Rex" for a weapon name? Just "Rex" would be better because it's shorter, like "Metal Gear 'REX'" from MGS.
Well, Rex simply means King :P
And, somehow, I did not know that! That's stupid of me lol.
I'm sorry to bring that up, I'm just a huge fan of the T-Rex! :)
