Imagine a world where the Allies didn't win the war, nor did the Axis. Instead, the war just continued on and on in an unsteady stalemate. Welcome, to the world of 1949. In this world Germany decided not to bomb London, but instead continued its attacks on Britain's airfields. Then, the Russians lost at Kursk. Finally, D-Day fails. With these victories, Germany has managed to halt the Allie's progress. In the Western Theatre, the Allies and the Axis each plan the invasion of the other's vital territories. In the Pacific, Japan and the United States are dueling over tiny islands with giant fleets and atomic weapons. Now, the stalemate is about to be broken. Germany is preparing an all out invasion of Britain. As tough and valiant as the Allied troops defending the Sceptered Isle are, some of their leaders are beginning to that they will be unable to hold against the Wehrmacht.

Report RSS Army of Industry Preview, and Testers Needed

The last command tree for the first release, the Army of Industry, can now be previewed.

Posted by on

Edit: the 1949 Alpha test should begin within a few days. I have already prepared the version I'm going to give out for it. Remember, we are looking for a few good testers. We have some already, but more would be appreciated for tests of 4v4 multiplayer battles.

Anyway, enough that, lets get to the Army of Industry, America's final command tree.

This tree is characterized by its use of overwhelming numbers against an enemy. Forget all that fancy foreign or emergent tech, all America needs to win the war is enough men under arms. This may put many men under the dirt as well, but it one cannot make an omelet without breaking eggs. That said, here is the Army of Industry:

Army of Industry

Army of Industry:

America needs no one else but itself. Forget advancing
technology when current American weapons can be built much more easily and
cheaply. Mass production using America's unmatched industrial might will see
the Army through.

Right Side Powers:

Sherman Infusion-3 CP

For 700 manpower, requisition 7 Sherman tanks, all ready for
armament. It will take some time before the reserves are sufficiently restored
to deploy again.

Fighter Swarm-5 CP

A huge fighter flotilla is dispatched to deal with any enemy
resistance in the area. Be careful that it isn't shot down by German anti-air defenses,
as its 200 munition and 40 fuel requirement make it difficult to requisition
multiple times.

Daisy chain Artillery Wall-5 CP

Artillery shells are being produced at an unprecedented
rate. In fact, continuous bombardment of an area with high explosive shells can
now be accomplished. Once a target has been selected, 500 munitions worth of
shells pulverize an area over a period of a minute and a half. Be sure to note
that it takes about 4 minutes to rebuild the stockpile of shells for this type
of barrage, and it is not very effective against heavy armor.

Left Side Powers:

Light Entertainment-2 CP

It's amazing how much harder a man will fight when his
morale has been boosted by having entertainment to occupy the hours he spends
outside of combat.

Anti-Tank Rifle Mass Production-2CP

Draftees gain the ability to give the Draftee Ace an
Anti-Tank rifle instead of his BAR, though this drastically lessens the squad's
effectiveness against hostile infantry.

Rapid Small Arms Production-1CP

Draftee squads can be produced more quickly thanks to more
small arms factory workers.

Well, I think that just about wraps that up. Please send pms if you are interested in testing.

With Regards,
Lord Wiffleby

No, America is still using Shermans, like it did in Korea. Some nations still use them today. In any case, they are cheap and easy to produce.

No, Shermans are easier and cheaper to make. Pershings are in the game, but they aren't available for extremely rapid and cheap production like Shermans are. They are still easier to produce then the cream of the Axis armor crop.

But Pershings sort of became a sort of staple of American tanks until the M46.
