Hiya! Welcome all to my profile! Well, not really a lot can be say here, I mostly mod and map for the GoldSource engine, though I do mod other stuff here as well. Anyway, hope you enjoy your visit!
In my retraining of GoldSource mapping, i tried to re-do basic AI scripting.
Now, i don't know exactly what to do, but after looking at the infamous mod-turned-game Prospekt, i suddenly had an idea.
One of the many locations in that "game" sets you on the outdoor areas of Nova Prospekt, where you get to fight Combine soldiers near a fenced up area and a collapsed gunship.
Now, in Prospekt, all you have to do to succeed is to simply use the fenced area as a funnel in order to kill everyone without taking too much damage.
After that, you need to turn off the power in order to access the vent system, while avoiding the never-ending antlions that attack you after you shut down the suppression system.
Well, i might as well try to do the opposite.
In my version, the Combine tries to use a desperate trap to stop the new unknown assailant destroying their plans, with the luck of a gunship crashing being Shephard's savior.
But of course, what could be the savior might also be his cause of death...
By the way, yeah, this is using the GoldSource engine.
Also, i did this in like, an hour or two.
It's just a map mainly made for scripting purposes.
Not really for magnificent unparalleled architecture and all that.
