There are two folders in that DL but the 'patch' only requires the music folder.

There's a teleport anomaly close to the 1st Mi-24 you are sent to, on the plateau. It's full of some sort of pseudo military-merc faction that are completely hostile but they seem to only populate the ex-military base and sometimes the factory. Be careful of the Mi-24s you find there as they are prone to leap at you.

Correct on them not being Mosin's but they aren't Lee enfields either, neither Lebel M1886 or Mauser rifles at that too.

Most of the iron sights are graphicly misaligned but very few are actually 'broken', also the ejector thing is kinda difficult to get rid of, i believe.

Try a Mosin/AK102 with M590 combo, it works well.
