It's a shame this is the only mod for Saw. If the game wasn't removed from Steam it probably would get a bit more attention for having a level editor.

Have you ever tried extracting Saw 2: Flesh and Blood's iso to see if you can use anything from that game? Since it's on the same engine.

I have some issues with the mod. Before I go into those, I will say that they've done an excellent job porting over F.E.A.R. 2 and 3's weapons. I wish they'd release a version of the mod that's just these weapon additions without all the other changes they've made.

Now onto the negatives.

- Paxton's face change. Why? His face looks really odd now.

- ADSing, I don't think it fits well with the first game and it's pretty janky in the mod. The sights/weapon model bob up and down so much that they're unusable while moving. They also don't line up correctly on most weapons. I preferred the original way the game handled aiming.

- Damage and health values have been drastically changed. I always play on hard difficulty in the original game, but here I can't go above medium. On hard I couldn't take more than 3-4 bullets before dying - while I had full health and armor! Meanwhile the enemies now soak up bullets. This ruins the combat imo, please don't make the enemies sponges to artificially increase difficulty.

- Reflex sight added to G2A2. I'm not a fan of adding scopes/sights to guns, and the gun looked great without it.

- Scope added to PK470 (Assault Rifle from F.E.A.R. 2). When this was first added there wasn't a scope, like how it was originally going to be in F2 before they slapped a giant scope on it. I love how the gun looks without it, I'd really like a way to revert this change.

- I kept crashing around Interval 8.

I'm fully aware you can get and keep Hudson's rifle, however it's burst fire and has ugly decals on it.

Frost's flamethrower is in one specific location. Pretty lame to have a weapon in the game that's only available once while using the mod.

From what I understand it's totally possible to add weapons to be loadout-available, but they only have to replace another default weapon. There are plenty of options there for awful weapons we could get rid of.

Having a flamethrower attachment isn't really the same as actually bringing in a flamethrower itself when you just want to use a cool weapon that used to be in the game.

Also, any chance you could have an optional replacement of the MK2 Pulse Rifle with the Hudson model (minus the decals) like this mod (which no longer works)?

This gets me excited. I prefer FC2's style of almost all weapons only offering ironsights, very few having any sort of additional sight.

Just wanted to say thanks for continuing to work on this project, I love checking in on it every few months and reading your updates. That anniversary update was really interesting to read, albeit very sad.

I'm curious what you think of Contracts now that it's out? I was a good bit disappointed to see that they went back to the linear style of the first two games, so I haven't tried it myself. I'd loved to have seen them take another crack at a Far Cry 2 successor.

I'm late, but thanks for this mod. I don't know how anyone could claim this game wasn't cheap difficulty-wise. On Normal difficulty the AI will blast your *** within literal seconds in close range, to the point that you don't even have time to react. And they almost never miss.

Your mod has made the game quite a bit more enjoyable.

Also, in the readme text it mentions using the buggy in first or third person.. How do you switch views while in a vehicle? I can't find any info on that, and it doesn't help searching anything about this game just brings up results for the Chrome browser.
