As far as I know, and feel free to correct me on this, not all Skitarii have serious bionics. Some of them are really just regular humans with a few minor bionics or even just a helmet attachment. Considering that it looks like these guys are caravan guards they probably wouldn't be fully modified so you could probably keep the model as is.

Actually I could see needing a specially modified weapon to fire artifact ammunition. Maybe a version of the standard with a changed casing or something to prevent carrying of the ammunition affecting the user. Or possibly a different firing mechanism depending on how you think artifact ammo would work.

that sounds really cool. Then maybe you could make the securitrons into Arbites gun servitors or something.
