It seems like its trendy to hate Steam. Aside from some very user specific issues that some people have none of it makes much sense. Ive heard a lot of hollow DRM complaints but they never really have more substance than -DRM is bad-.. I love Steam and Desura. Id never be able to keep track of my games library without them. (Also, my keyboard is broken, apostrophies dont work)

Why not try posting on their forums at Ishallremain.com as well, I'm sure they'll be more likely to see your feedback. I'm not too into linux but if any indie developer can afford the additional resources I'm all for it.
