You can edit the files in this Mod quite easily. Just download this mod and unzip it. Then inside the folder caled "base" you will find a file called zzz-neuro_wolf.pk4, unzip this file using WinRar.

Just need to open WinRar and then select File-->Open Archive--> Then find folder that zzz-neuro_wolf.pk4 file is in and make sure you select "show all files" option at bottom.

Then after unzipped go to the folder def--> weapons --> flammenwerfer

Then use a program called Notepad++ (free to download), once installed notepad++ right click file inside flammenwerfer folder called flammen.def, and selct open with Notepad++, inside this file yo will find a list of all of the flamethrowers stats and features that you can chanage.

Then just save this file (flammen.def) and go to the folder zzz-neuro_wolf that you unzipped and use winrar to compress it (add to archive) again and make sure it is named zzz-neuro_wolf.pk4 (get rid of original zzz-neuro_wolf.pk4 file) and now use the mod as usual.

You should also be able to just find these files inside the Vanilla game install folders on your PC (base--> def--> weapons --> flammenwerfer etc.) and just edit them there if you dont want to use this mod. In the vanilla install files on your PC you should also be able to find the flammen_upgrades.def file which should aslo allow you to do more changes to the flamethrower.

Also there is a mod on this ebsite called Retrostein that increases flamethrower burn time but I dont know if it makes it lighter to carry. It also changes many other things too that you may or may not like but he explains everything he changed in good detail.

But if you only want to change the flamethrower you should be able to using my instructions to edit the Vanilla game files on your PC installation of the game.

This is great! Seems like a small thing but it gives combat in the game a much more realistic atmosphere.

Thankyou!

Thanks your_evil_twin!! I love this mod, you are a legend! It makes the game feel much more fun and challenging and it seems like you have thought about everything really well (thanks for the notes they are awesome). I have played this game through 2 or 3 times and now I'm going again thanks to this mod.

I just have one question,is it possible to turn the highlighted ammo and weapons feature back on? It really slows me down when I have to scavenge around for ammo, when there is so much less due to mod changes and it takes away from the flow and enjoyment of the game for me.

I am happy to do it myself if it would be possible, I just don't know where to start. This is one of my favourite games of all time, I would really appreciate it if you can help, because then the game (for me) would be perfect!

P.S. I'm also wondering if you know the specific differences when choosing the different difficulties in the game? I am currently playing on "Bring Em' On! (Hard)"
