well I decided before I jump into doing something that really requires alot of work and thought I decided I'll stick to something I know best, portal(s) It's my fav game and I know egxactly what I am going to do with it. so I'll try working with the source engine, I heard it was really good, and perhaps for my "this city has no name" project I'll try the unreal engine, but anyways I'll explaine my new portal story...

Im going off the whole chell is alyx's mom theory, basically alyx's mom (azian vance) never died in the whole black mesa incident, but was mearly transported through the portal storm to somewhere near apeture scince's enrichment centre where she is found and taken away by apeture science employee's (yes this will be a prelude to portal) I WILL BE TRYING TO KEEP AS CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL STORY AS POSSIBLE which means nothing too outragous, I'm going for something belivable..

I will be changing her name chell which means "ewe" , "little lamb", or "daughter" to mary the reason for the name change is that azian will become the first test subject and her clones will be known as chell. hence the names fitting better and explainig how chell got the name and who was the first orignal female test subject. As an addition to the name mary, cave johnson was a religious man and had a definate hate for witches and to him azian sounded like a witch name so he changed it to mary, it's alot easier for him to remeber anyway....

so the setting takes place shortly after the black mesa incident, azian is teleported to somewhere around the apeture science enrichment centre where she is found by an employee. haveing been dazed and confused she blacks out and wakes up in the labratory in what seems to be an infirmary.

she is unable to talk, (something happened to her while going through the portal which did something to her lungs/throat or something of the sort and a breathing mechanizm was placed inside her throat in which her vocal box (larynx) had to be removed *NOTE* this does not mean I think that chell can't talk, (It's just so I can get away with azian having no voice) I think chell's voice box is still intact she just never learned how to talk or needed to talk hence her silence.

the year is 2000, (which is about the time black mesa had their incident) everything is running well at the enrichment centre all the workers and scientist are there Cave johnson is alive (I'm going to keep him alive in this story) they are currently testing and finishing GLaDOS and are well into Johnson's third plan in his "three tier plan" which is portal technology. when they find azian they take her to cave johnson, he then discovers that she worked at black mesa and decides that she'd be an ecxellent "test subject"

he starts calling her mary (see above description of why she's called mary) she is then thrown into the test chambers (which will be different from portal, but simular) GLaDOS at the time is running, but not at full capacity, she does give you reminders but she does not think on her own, yet. other scientist will help you from time time and explain things about the test chambers.

mary(azian) also meets up with the doug rattmann aka "the ratman" he was an employee currently doing tests as well. eve and the ratman make there way through the test chameber and around the apature science buildings meeting other scientist along the way as well as fighting some as well trying to escape.(they also find a room where mary 's clones, chell, are stored) In desperation cave johnson fully utalizes GLaDOS , in which she then starts flooding the enrichment centre with a deadly nuerotoxin killing fellow employees and cave joghnson as well. mary and the ratman go to glados and install the morality core and then escape from the enrichment centre. and thats the end of the story.

it is after that, then portal the game starts.

and then I can use my epic catch line

"mary had a little lamb, her name was chell"

lol I'm so lame....that's it so far if you have questions just ask and I'll answer the best I can...

unfortunately I won't be able to mod anythinbg untill I get my new laptop which will be sometime in june.but I can't wait to start this!

Well as you can see theres nothing really here, I am a procrastinator so I can't make any promises that I will finish what I start...... I did put some pictures up I hope to use some sort of engine to make the characters and such, but I have to wait untill I get my laptop which will be soon since I will be out of school

so, I guess I should explain my plans [insert evil luagh]

well so for as a story goes I have this idea it looks something like this;

no joke..

but serously my story is about this city that has been divided into two seprate sides, on one side the city is a perfect model utopia society while on the other side it's pretty much a slum bad end of town sorta place, the two halves are seperated between a wall with the military gaurding the gates the number one rule of the place is:

no one leaves the city

and the second most important;

each side cannot converse or even cross the other

well, thats as much as I want to explain for now I will go into greater detail later...
